I am not on any type of pre-op special diet, just a basic meal plan. I just has my last meal at 545, since I had to be done eating by 6pm. I ate well, chicken breast, and a salad. So not shitty, so my surgery can go smoothly tomorrow afternoon hopefully. I did get cleared to be able to drink Water only tomorrow until 11am which is awesome. I'm nervous, but excited. I guess I still don't feel like it's really happening yet. I'll keep you guys posted tomorrow about my pre-op stuff and then Surgery at 3:05pm! I have a surgery time now, 3:05pm. That is kinda good and bad for me though. Good because I Don't have to wake up at the crack of dawn to find someone to watch my son, and thwn drive an hr to the hospital. But bad because I am going to be miserable all day without a drink of water! I can't have anything to eat or drink after midnight before my surgery, and I am the type that I HAVE to drink Water when I wake up and throughout the day. Agreed. My hubby is a bit mad at me because he has to work a double shift that day, so he won't be able to be there with me, but I'm sure he will get over it. Hey there! Im going thru richmond kaiser with Dr. Im. I have my meeting with the case manager on Monday and was told I will receive an august survey date. I'm more than excited. I felt during our group class that the case manager was a bit mean... How was your appointment with her? Sent from my Z828 using the BariatricPal App Ya, she's a bit...... intense I guess. Lol. She totally intimidates me. I guess she has to be like that though to make sure that people follow through with the meal plan and do what they are supposed to do. She was definitely very straightforward during my 1 on 1 appt with her. But I made sure to bring my food journal with me and I'm glad I did. Ok, so I'm with Kaiser, and the bariatric nutritionist, case manager, and surgeon have all told me that as bariatric patients, we can only absorb Calcium CITRATE, and never to take it at the same time as Iron. They say that the calcium found in food and milk is insufficient. I was told to take Centrum adult chewables as a Multivitamin, as well as supplementary Iron, calcium citrate, and sublingual B12. Since even with a multivitamin, not enough is consumed. Thats just what I've had drilled into me during all of my visits how important Vitamins are, and I will be following exactly what they tell me to do so I don't become anemic, or have weak bones, or lose my hair as bad. Ok, so my cousin just helped me fix the infalted steps issue. She had me switch the "handedness" option to my left hand, even though I am right handed, but wear the fitbit on my left. She said that if it's on your non dominant hand, it will inflate steps since you don't use that arm as much, but if its on your dominant hand, it won't since thats the hand that naturally moves more. I proved this to be true while we were walking today and I had my app out, and it was much more accurate!
