    What do you tell them?

Thank you for all the advice. I'm pretty well known in the community so I've had people asking how I've done it. My close friends and family I'm willing to blab away but it's those that I don't know well that I'm hesitant to share with. I like the idea of explaining I'm following a high Protein diet, small portions, eating often. I think that's what I'm going to tell them Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App

    Adkins

Yes, I like it. I prefer the berry flavor. And to me it's better than proteinh2o Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App

    Who did you tell?

I told my boss and a couple coworkers but for the most part kept it to myself. I have tried to surround myself with people who are following the requirements to be successful. I have to focus on that. I have yoyo dieted all my life so my coworkers have seen my weight go up and down. So when people bring up the failed bypass stories I just stay focused on the successes and remind myself I will be a success too. You can do this! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App

    Weight loss in 6 months....

I totally agree with catwoman7. You can't really compare your results to others because there are so many factors (starting weight, metabolism, exercise ability, medical conditions etc) This is a journey. Keep the faith! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  5. I had my surgery on June 29th and am doing well. People have begun to notice my weight loss. When they ask me how I did it, I don't know what to say. I end up telling them that I had bypass surgery but to me that is personal information. Maybe I'm making too big a deal about it and it shouldn't matter. Anyone have advice on what to say or deal with this issue too? Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  6. They gave me liquicell Protein in the hospital after surgery. It's like drinking orange kool-aid. You can buy it on Amazon in concentrate. It gives you 16 grams of protein for 90 calories. I like that and the ProtiDiet concentrate too. Atkins has a Protein Drink called Lift that is good too. A little more expensive than the liquicell per serving. Eating Leftovers

Wow sorry you had this experience. That's horrible. I'm actually surprised you are eating solid foods at this point. I had my surgery on 6\29 and am only allowed liquids and pureed foods. Maybe that had something to do with it that your body wasn't ready to process it. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
