Made my family my famous super delicious soup this evening. Took part of it and put it in the blender so it's like a cream soup. Omg it was the best thing I've had since surgery!!! I'm so freakish happy and content. Stomach feels funny, first time I've had a full serving of anything I'm allowed. Kinda creepy feeling lol
-
Lol yeah it was pretty rough, almost threw up. I bought 3. I'm gonna see if I can return the other 2. I'm still queasy lol.
-
Well I bought 3, I honestly don't see my self buying more lol

6 days post op and feel very depressed
asherje replied to brittlogan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel ya Hun, I just accidentally chugged a 2.5oz protein drink because it was thick like hair gel and kinda gross and I knew if I stopped I wouldn't take another drink. Dear lord almost threw up and blacked out. Was a horrible feeling. I'm still nausea and dizzy. I miss food too, but I made one of my famous soups for dinner tonight and I'm gonna throw mine in the blender so I can enjoy it too. I'm 6days out as well. Scales hardly moved, I'm tired of drinking my food, but I'm praying that this was the right choice and one day the scale will move and I'll be eating again one day -
I'm 6days out so been sipping, this was so thick and doesn't taste good that I chugged the 2.5oz, thought I was gonna throw up and black out lol. Took a few mins to stabilize and I'm still little queezy and dizzy lol

Bought it at krogers, it's really thick. Says Protein blend hydrolyzed collagen/whey protein

asherje replied to Ms.Cali's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved Monday and am hacking up a thick yellow mucus, figured it was a combination of the weather change and that I quit smoking. -

Esophageal spasms are abnormal contractions of the muscles in the esophagus (the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach). These spasms do not move food effectively to the stomach. Causes, incidence, and risk factors The cause of esophageal spasm is unknown. Very hot or very cold foods may trigger an episode in some people. Symptoms •Difficulty swallowing or pain with swallowing •Pain in the chest or upper abdomen •It can be hard to tell a spasm from angina pectoris, a symptom of heart disease. •The pain may spread to the neck, jaw, arms, or back Doctor said was side effect of surgery that they see occasionally. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/esophageal-spasms/DS00763 -

Feel little nausea today but may be because I finally went out the house. Went and got my toes and nails done, it had been over a month and they looked rough.

Hello my lovelies! I survived lol. Had my revision surgery from gastric lap band to sleeve this morning. Won't lie, was much worse then the banding lol, but that's to be expected considering they had to fix the mess Dr Felix Speigel made me 5yrs ago and then sleeve me. I woke in the recovery room screaming and pleading for pain medicine and anti Nausea meds, bedding to throw up and for Water or ice to so so. Needless to saw never got water Didn't throw up and once then for me stable from screaming and crying at them I was put in my room around 1pm. Since them am feeling much better. Feel like I just did a marathon, 10000000000000 sit ups and twists lol and got a new BFF Hahahaha my pain med button. Still no ice or water but have a thing to swab a little water across my tongue and lips They should be taking me for a walk at 7pm

asherje replied to ShrinkyDinkMe22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Better with each day, unfortunately for me I have the side effect of esophageal spasms. Hurt so bad. So doctor moved me back to Clear liquids only and have to do a barium swallow test Tuesday at my follow up appointment. If they can make it go away without additional surgery then I will stop regretting the surgery lol. Pre op appointment 12-4-12 weight 198.5 Surgery weight 12-10-12 weight 195 Yesterday on home scale 190 So slowly moving the scale even hardly being able to drink. I'm on myfitnesspal as asherje We can lose together -

All your stories are keeping me motivated when I just wanna break down and cry from these esophageal spasms. After years of dealing with lap band complications to have the revision Monday and end up with a possible side effect. Since we are all around similar weights thought it would be fun to add each other to our fitness pal apps to support each other. If you're interested here's my handle: asherje -

asherje replied to blkdiamond377's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What ever you do dear lord do not try and sleep in a high bed lol. My 5yr old always sneaks into bed with me when my fiancé is on duty. He did not like the idea that need to sleep on the recliner, so being the softy that I am let him sleep in my room, was a B to climb in it, it hurt. Well then it was time to take my pain meds.... I was a turtle on my back, almost had to wake him or call my sister to come over, but finally slid to edge to grab nightstand and roll. Talk about pain! Don't know if my son crowing in labor or that was worse pain lol! I wanna say surgery Monday, pain till about Thursday night. Today other then the bed thing abdominal pains were gone. Just tender. -

post op for December 11th
asherje replied to a5paintball20's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was the 10th, went home Wednesday. I'm miserable, having esophageal spasms. Most of the gas pains have subsided. I'm just so miserable, I don't even want to try drinking anything. I've been decent at sipping water, was suppose to start full liquids today but doctor wants me to stay on clears to help the spasms, I follow up with them Tuesday and another barium swallow and see what's the status of my sleeve. I'm regretting ever doing this. -
Sleeved Monday dec 10th, still in lots or pain & suffering extreme nausea from time to time. How long did it take for nausea to go away? Also have random sharp pain in my chest/throat area, feels like I just swallowed a bowling ball, it's an intense searing pain that leaves as mysterious as it started. Anyone else with this? Could it be gas pains from being inflated during surgery moving around?

Talked to my doctor, I'm having Esophageal spams. I'm to keep on clear liquids till Monday. Hoping it goes away, now am in the wtf did I do phase. -
Day 4, in pain, still on Clear liquids till tomorrow, so hungry. Watching tv all the commercials make me salivate, my fiancé was munching on cheese and crackers last night and today watching one of my favorite shows "ramsay's kitchen nightmares" Dear lord can't wait for next week so I can have yogurt! Hahaha even tomorrow to have a Protein drink. Trying to think of what to cook for my son and fiancé for dinner and dreading it. That was the only upside to being in the hospital, no cooking ;p
-
Oh and he did cook dinner for him and my son, and it was.... Sausages, Mac n cheese and naked beans lol. Do I know him or what
