Just curious to know which of you are in the University of Washington Weight Management Program. I find it very helpful to find others going to the same facility as yourself.. I was just approved to start the Stage II Molina Bariatric Surgery Program(Apple Health) last week! (8/11) First NUT appointment is today and I'm already overwhelmed by all the criteria. Lol I'm so nervous because I soooo don't want to screw this opportunity up. I'm constantly thinking of how many times I've let myself down doing other things. I already know that I won't have the money to afford this in the future, so I better cut the crap right now.. lol Argh! My nerves.. so anxious.. My goodness.. They're already scheduling first week of July?! My test review appointment is on April 24th. So I can only imagine what my surgery date would be.. probably september.. that's a long time from now. 😩

Maybe someone here can help me understand why the company who's managing my care(Molina) has different approval requirements than what medicaid is asking to qualify? Medicaid (According to Law),is saying 35 with Co Morbid and Molina says all I need is BMI of 40 (which I have). Anyone understand this??? I've talked to them but no explains it in a way I understand. Is it Molina who's making the decision..is it medicaid? Lol Anyone approved through Apple Health Molina with No comorbidities? Or any insight would be great. I'm confused as h***! Hi @@boogie_badd8nt_she I was able to have my Upper endoscopy here in Vancouver at Peacehealth off of Millplain Blvd. I had it with Dr.Eklier. All I had to do was have UW fax the referral and then I called in the next day to schedule. Way more convenient and cost efficient than waiting until the new year and driving up to UW again. Also I'm still working on that dang 5%, they won't schedule me to even meet the surgon until that 5% is lost. Other than that everything else is done! I was hoping things would happen a little quicker, but looks like surgery won't be happening until March or April at this point, but I'm okay with that too, as long as it happens in the new year! I would imagine that you would be able to get gastric bypass if you are healthy..even if you are down to 30 and 35 because you have the ability to choose unless there's a medical reason saying that you can't have one over the other. However I don't know how your insurance work as far as how much weight you can lose.. some want you to actually lose the weight, some want you to demonstrate that you cannot lose the weight,some don't have a requirement I've read..

*My feelings are hurt. I gained 3 pounds already since Thanksgiving. I was two pounds from goal and now I have to lose the damn pounds again. Smh I'm tired of my s**t and the roller coaster. * Gotta do better... Start measuring my ingredients in my home cooked meals because I've never paid it any mind..Now it matters.
