    Numbness

Call your surgeon if you are feeling anything unusual. You are the only one who knows what is odd for your body.
  2. Each surgeon has their own plan. It is not common to skip stages. If you trust your surgeon to operate on you, trust them to heal you heal and adjust to your new stomach too!
  3. What does your surgeon say? That is much faster than I have heard of.

    HELP!

Let your body do what it needs to do. Al, you need to do is to do your part with meeting protein and liquid goals.
  5. Soups weren't on my plan until full liquids. Soup isn't something to help with hydration. You need clear liquids for that. Flavored water, diluted juice, sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello.

    You all lied!

Changing your lifestyle is as much mental as it is physical. Yes, this is abut a lifestyle change. It takes time to do so. What helps me in most areas of my life is being grateful for what I have and not focusing on what I don't have. I have a new chance to get healthy, I save money on food, I feel better, I love that my sleeve stops me from eating too much, I love when the scale goes down, it is great my clothes are getting too big, and on and on. I am not lying to you. Ha ha. You can stop telling yourself the holidays will be dreadful and depressing. You can tell yourself how much you will enjoy them by being lighter on your feet, wearing a new fun outfit etc. It is all about attitude.
  7. I am 3.5 mths out and still have 1 protein shake a day because I can't eat enough solid food to meet protein goals. And it is ok. It is ok for you to do what works for you. Healing is different for everyone, our sleeves are all different, so our consumption is different.
  8. I am up to about 10 bites at 3.5 mths out. I've attended dinner parties, bridal showers, bbqs and eaten in restaurants a lot. No one says anything. It takes getting used to eating so little.
  9. I have never given birth but I remember wondering if I was pregnant, is this what it is like? :-) I had lots of external swelling that I put ice packs on and one morning I woke up and it was gone. I know exactly what you are experiencing. Maybe took a week with me.

When is the stall going to come?

Ha ha. What a great question. Everyone loses weight differently depending on multiple factors. I had first stall at 2 weeks, and then have had multiple ones after that. Expecting another one soon. When I was much younger I would diet and lose quickly with no stall. Don't know what to say about your gall bladder. Have you asked your surgeon about losing too fast? Certainly wouldn't hurt.
  11. I had no problem with restaurants blending soup for me. Just ask.
  12. Sometimes our stomachs are not ready for what the plan says. Success isn't continually moving forward, it is staying hydrated and getting your protein in. Please focus on liquids asap and once you can get them down, add in some protein shakes, unless you can add protein to your fluids. Dehydration can land you in the hospital.
  13. Your stomach is swollen now so it is likely when liquids are trying to enter it, you are feeling it. Try taking smaller sips and try different temperatures. I didn't have pain like that but others have posted about it. As the swelling goes down, it will get easier.
  14. I was eating soft foods at 4 weeks. Tuna salad, chicken salad, scrambled eggs, deli turkey, boiled eggs, soft cooked veggies, cheese, etc. All in very small meals. Steak is hard to digest and was told to wait 4 mths and only have a tenderloin/filet cut. Bread, Pasta and rice are highly discouraged during weightloss phase.
  15. Have you seen your surgeon since surgery? I would call and get an appt because you shouldn't have pain 3 weeks out.
  16. Walk as much as you can and take your pain meds if you need them. Why can't you have chicken broth? It is considered a clear liquid.
  17. Get out of the diet mindset. You now have a new lifestyle. One that you get to build with the help of your sleeve. Just do your part and the sleeve will do it's.
  18. It really is different for everyone. I am 3.5 mths out and really don't remember when I saw the scale move down even though I weigh everyday. I just don't worry about it much.

    Day 3

Sorry you are struggling. Did you get a script for nausea medicine? If so, take it. If not ask your surgeon. Try different protein drinks, protein water and use unflavored protein in other liquids. Protein is essential for healing.
