I feel very fortunate scrambled eggs work for me. Try them again in another week or two. Soft scrambled with a little cheese helps keep them moist.

Hang in there! You have done the hardest part.

Plenty of room on bench as we get smaller and smaller!

How about adding a little more protein to your dinner so you will feel so full you can't graze? Old habits are hard to break but it can be done. And if you do graze, have protein first.

Just curious, is soup a slider food?
suzzzzz replied to Raynbolite's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Since soup is liquid you and won't stay in stomach long, it will take more to feel full. And it won't last as long. Most folks say liquids go right thru, but they fill me up, even Water. A different full than with solid food. I love soup but mostly eat solids. -
Are you on blood pressure meds? Had you eaten recently? Are you dehydrated? Blood sugar drop? Meds may need to be reduced, you may have had a reaction to a food, or something else. May not be sleeve related. I would follow my doctors instructions.

Had an unexpected major stress event last night. Immediately my thoughts went to opening a bottle of wine. But went to freezer for a sugar free popsicle! Ok, I had three of them. ☺ Progress.

I am going to Vegas Sunday. Hoping all the walking will offset any adult beverages I have. Taking protein bars for emergencies. I may have withdrawal from sf popsicles.

Early on it is normal to eat more frequently because you can only eat a small bit. As your stomach heals, swelling goes down, and you can eat more. My ultimate goal is 3 meals a day and most days i do that nlw, butI have to add in an extra shake or protein bar to meet requirements. Am almost 4 mths out.

Gastric bypass still on full liquid I want to eat applebees
suzzzzz replied to fluffy n fit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nothing wrong with going out to eat. Sounds like you made a good choice for soup. When I go out to eat, I check the menu online before I go so if they don't have something I want or could have at the time, I could have a protein shake before I went. Then I would just order a sugar free beverage. -
What does your doctor say? I could have lettuce at 5 weeks, however since we have protein first there isn't much room for lettuce or anything else.
-
Since you haven't lost in the last month, then you have lost 60 lbs in 3 mths. That is a lot of weight and you body is adjusting. Are you losing inches? Eating your Protein and meeting Fluid goals are key. Proteins don't have many calories so up that, and drink lots and lots of Water.

When did you have your first stall?
suzzzzz replied to elle2769's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First stall was at about 2.5 weeks. It was the first of many. I do t let them bother me much any more. It is what it is. As long as I stick to my plan, the weight will come off. -
If they ask tel, them you think you might be pregnant. ☺ Just kidding. Volunteer to be the DD. Tell them it isn't on your current diet. You are watching your blood sugar. Whatever you are comfortable with. As for when you can drink, ask your surgeon. They are all different. Mine said 6 weeks. I have had wine and didn't have any ihealth mpacts. If you do a search for alcohol, you can read more than you probably wanted to know.

1 month post-op, so many questions!
suzzzzz replied to avatarkorraa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In a nutshell, ride out the stall by sticking with your plan and meeting protein and water goals. Your body has been thru a whole lot of extra stuff in addition to the sleeve. The weight will come off over time. I am sorry your surgeon set such a low bar. There are many on here and not on here that get to goal and below by following their plan, keeping moving and letting their body do what it needs to do to take care of itself. -
Now you know for sure that having a bite or two doesn't work for you, at least not with donuts. Probably other things too. Knowing this will help keep you on track. And, let the guilt go. Most of us have experienced way too much self shaming and guilt in our lives that we can change that too. You have a whole new beginning.

7 days post op and I just want to eat[emoji30]
suzzzzz replied to itzbrittaanyx3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The mental is just as important as the physical changes. Don't let head hunger win. As @@KristenLe says it can be dangerous right now. Your stomach is still pretty raw and you don't want anything to get caught in the staple line or cause a leak. You can do this. -
You did great! I eat out a lot and stick to my plan. I have found there is always something I can order, modify if necessary, and take leftovers home.

Will I be able to walk about half a mile 5 days post op?
suzzzzz replied to Brenda Sherwood's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just wanted to add that as long as you are not taking pain meds, you can drive. I drove on day 4. -
My surgeon said nsaids are ok very once in a while and not to take them daily. You should be ok.
-
I didn't experience pain like that. What I did feel was the area just below my largest incision where the muscle was impacted. Spasms are not unusual and should pass in a few days. Your stomach doesn't know what has happened to it. And, keep thinking about the inside healing and keep on plan.

Your thoughts on my progress/ questions on sickness
suzzzzz replied to madisunshine1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My weightloss is very similar to @ShelterDog64. We were sleeved within a couple of days of each other and her words are wise. I lose in waves. Had a stall that lasted 2 weeks, then I lost 3 lbs and went right back into stall for a week. They happen for almost all of us. I don't let myself get frustrated very much because it is what it is. Went on vacation for 8 days and gained 2 lbs. I expected it because although my food intake was good, I got behind on liquids (except when I had wine. Ha ha.) Now I have lost that and 3 more. I have a ways to go so I am down for the long haul. You are doing great. I don't snack except for a rare piece of cheese so I have nothing to offer there. -
Is this ok during clear liquids?
suzzzzz replied to mallnut's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Fudge Sickles were not on my plan. Sugar free popsicles are great and very refreshing. If you want a fudge sickle type food, put your chocolate protein shake in ice tray or popsicle molds and freeze.
