    Multivitamins

Good to know. I'm going to try the Trader Joes ones!
  3. I am 16 months post op and now for the past two months have been putting on weight little by little. Over the past 4 months I've put on about 6 pounds and it's scary and don't want to get out of control. I know I'm just bored at work and people here in my office eat constantly and I've succumbed to the bad habits again. The honeymoon period was awesome and I wasn't hungry and never craved sugar. Now I'm ashamed to say that I crave it and can eat whatever now. I never had dumping syndrome and nothing really made me sick except milk/dairy. Now I can even drink dairy now. I just need to get off the sugar again and buckle down. Just wondering if anyone else out there over a year post op is experiencing the same thing.
  4. I too have severe episodes of low blood levels between 50 & 60. My primary care doc said to get a glucose test kit, which I did. Some days it was so severe it felt like I would die....well not really but nearly pass out. Turns out nothing else wrong except hypoglycemia. I guess that is what we have to deal with after severe weight loss and not being able to eat much and keep it in our stomachs. Glad to know others have the same issue though.

    Multivitamins

I am a year post surgery and I haven't take vitamins at all because the chewables make me sick. I know that I should, but I just can't do it. I'll keep reading here if anyone else has any other ones that work for them.
  6. Yes, it is very bittersweet that is for sure! It's so nice to have the 'clothes are too big' problem! I didn't save any of my smaller sizes. All my clothes were a 16 pre op size. So now I'm just starting to fit into 10s and 12s so I really do have to buy clothes because I work in a professional office and cannot wear leggins with big shirts. I guess it's a good problem to have!
  7. I'm four months post op and now and have lost 50 pounds and my projection is to lose 20 more as I started out at 220 before surgery. My question for those of you that have gone through this is with another 20 expected to lose, should I buy clothes a size smaller for summer. Reason I'm asking is that I'm obsessed now with shopping being that I'm so much smaller and just bought 8 pairs of awesome pants from Ann Taylor (and they are not cheap) but some are capris for warmer weather. I'm thinking I should take some back and get a size smaller. Thoughts?
  8. I'm four months post op and I had the same thing at about three months where I was hungry all the time. In fact I still get hungry but not as much as I did a month ago. Must just be a phase our bodies go through.

    Cracker Barrel

When you can eat everything like at two months out. Yes. You. An eat anything as long as it doesn't make you sick. Just tiny portions.

    Starbucks

Every one is different. Starbucks is a staple in my life. Pike Place has the most caffeine and that bothers my stomach. Dark roast is better because less caffeine. Lattes have even less caffeine. I get white mochas made with skim milk and just get two pumps of syrup in a grande which is half normal and much less calories. Plus I don't like them that sweet any longer.

    Hair loss

BTW can I have the product name you found as the link isn't working. Thanks.

    Hair loss

Yes the hair loss is really disturbing. I'm four months out and the huge amounts started about three months post op. I hope it stops soon!

    Popcorn

I've tried it as well and I'm 4 months out. It hasn't bothered me either. I guess everyone is different because I've heard others say they can't eat it.

    Exercise

Thanks so much ladies for the positive responses. Appreciate it! I do have resistance bands and I do walk up the stairs while at work. I'll just have to do alot more!

    Exercise

So I'm 8 weeks post-op and really haven't started to work out. Any one else in this position? I know that I need to, but with working full time and being gone 10 hours a day, I have no energy and no desire when I get home at night. Ugh! I suppose I'd be losing much more weight too, if only I could get myself to the gym.
