Hello everyone! I'm going in for surgery on wednesday February 27, 08 I'm soooo excited . I'm a little confused though because i was given different information by two different doctors. One doc said that after surgery i could never be able to drink soda. The other doc said an occasional cup of diet soda was ok :confused2:. Has any one post-op tried drinking diet soda?? If so how did it go??

Hey everyone, I had my band placed in 2/27/08 just 7 days ago and i'm going crazy!! I decided that after 7 days, I want my band removed. I'm 22 and have my whole life to look foward to and enjoy. The band is not worth all this stress I've put up with, I want to go back to living a normal life :shades_smile:. I mad a big mistake in getting it done in the first place. Has this happened to anyone eles. Please don't respond if your comment is to try to get me to change my mind. Thanks but my mind is set. All of us in this forum have or had weight issuse and now how it feels to have someone who is skiny and healthy "TRY" to show sympathy when in realaty don't konw what your really going thru. :frown::ohmy::frown::frown:

Yeah I'm still here :Dancing_biggrin:.....I'm doing better. I had my first fill on April 15 but I still have no restriction so I'm eating normal. :glare:

Hey you guys I ate today for the first time after my first fill and I have no restriction at alllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!! Is that normal??

Hi Angelface, I guess I started feel a little better once I was moved from liquids to solids...I really was hungry :tongue: Hope all goes well with your surgury!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I guess I'm over that BAD period. I'm praying that once I start eating solids tomorrow everything will work out ok. I'm a little nervous I don't want to get anything stuck. I'm wearing a coreset( spelled REALLY wrong lol ) and a skirt with a trail and its navy blue....really pretty. My best friend made me get it two size smaller so I really need to lose some weight..

Hello Everyone, I know, I know, I said I was not going to :confused:. But I got my first fill yesterday. I changed my mind since my best friend is getting married in August of this year and she asked me to come out in her wedding. My Doc. didn't actually say but i;m guessing I got a 1cc??????( MAYBE) So far I feel ok, a bit hungry since i;m on liquids but nothing I can't handle!!

Hello, well I'm not has depressed now as I was a week ago but mainly its because I'm eating real foods. :shades_smile: I'm supposed to be on the mushy stage but I'm not I've eaten any and all foods BUT in moderation. I guess I'll keep it in for now but won't have any fills for now.

So, I finally went to my doctors office yesterday. He started me out on solids :huh2:. He also told me that he can't remove my band until about 3 months. I ate yesterday for the first time in 14 days and I felt great!! But I still feel a little down since my doctor pretty much told me that the 14 lb I had lot was not a big deal.........but whatever I guess I rater lose 14 lb than to gain them.:cool2:

WOW!! You don't know how much better that made me feel :thumbup:. Finally someone understands me!!! Your right i NEVER said that only lazy peolpe are obese..( some people can just be so Sensitive :thumbup:) What I said was that im in this situation because i was being lazy and thought that getting the band would be an easy way out. But know im just depressed and sad and still have not been able to stop crying ( even at work ) and the best thing for me is to have it removed. The problem is I dont know if the doctor will remove it so soon and that just makes me more depressed... i guess i'll just have to waite till tuesday :cursing:

Well when i first started thinking about getting the band I weighed 180 lb. But because I didn't quilify I gained some and now i'm at 198 lb. I thought I did my research but I think I was only focused on the being ''skinny" part of it. I thank everyones comments and support. But I got in this mess for being LAZY :w00t:. Im over weight but I'm not obese. I still do want the band removed and start being so lazy and get off my a**. To everyone in this forum who have the band and are happy with it, I bow to you :thumbup:. But this is simply not for someone who is just being lazy.

I know im giving up so fast but I really do think that its the best thing for me. I called my doc and he wants to see me asap mainly because im really depressed and have had the runs since surgury. I know where you are coming from but nobody knows me better then me......and I think its best I have it removed before I do something to hurt my body or self.

I'm starving for one :shades_smile:. All I do is cry becuase I feel I made a mistake. I want to be able to have the foods I like and I dont now.... I feel like i can try less dramatic ways to get healthy and feel good about my self. All I do is dream with food and soda.. I know that sounds silly . I feel like I was happier being myself before surgury.

Hey Xann, How long after surgury did you wait till drinking soda? I had my surgury 6 days ago and im going crazy i need some soda :rolleyes2:. I also noticed your from boston im from nashua nh but i had my surgury in boston at BWH.

hey everyone :drool: I finally had my surgery five days ago. I've already lost 14 lb. You think i would be happy right....BUT IM NOT. For some reason I regret having surgery I'm soooooooooo depressed :blushing::frown::blushing::blushing: and mad at myself. I fought so much to get the surgery done and now i hate myself for going through with it. I feel like why do this to myself when i could have probable lost the weight by myself :laugh:. Is this a normal feeling??? I need all the support I can get. Thanks :biggrin:

Hi everyone, Im scheduled for surgery on April 9, 2008 and im very excited. But I do worry that after my surgery, when i notice that i can't eat the foods that i usually crave if im going to regret getting it done in the first place. Is that a normal feeling??
