    Bipolar disorder question

@@#9grammy I was on Latuda awhile back couldn't get over the nausea after a month so I couldn't tolerate that. I been on high doses of Seroquel in the past but never took the XR I was hoping it worked but it says it slows down your metabolism and I can't afford that this weekend I felt lousy didn't do anything from drowsiness. And it made crave food that I usually never have since my Sleeve on 7/5/16. I need something but will have to see what my surgery dr thinks about the Seroquel if he says no then I'll contact my psych dr. I too have been on SSI for years but never got my cocktail right yet. I have to have my Xanax for my anxiety or I wouldn't get anything done as far as leaving the house. Nerves be too bad ;(
  3. My dr gave me Seroquel XR to help my bipolar and anxiety but I've read that Seroquel slows your metabolism and I want to know if anyone had these issues and what meds are you taking that seems to work. I have Xanax for my anxiety but I need something for my bipolar issues. They said even if you don't eat with the Seroquel you're still gonna gain weight. I need some insight. Thank you. Medication and Weight Gain

Thank you I'm on Seroquel XR and I've read that it slows your metabolism I don't need that. Any suggestions on a good bipolar med? I've been on some of everything. I need something but I refuse to take anything that hinders my weight loss. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    July 5th surgery

Your body needs periods of adjustment. If you're getting your Protein, fluids, and Vitamins and not eating off-plan - you're not doing anything wrong! Take a deep breath and stay off the scale! actually I'm not on vitamins and still on liquids til Tuesday but I'm getting protein and fluids just great.
  13. Because when people talk about losing weight after surgery they have these massive loses in the first month. People forget that most of the people that had WLS until recently were the super morbidly obese. So yeah, they lost a lot because they had a lot to lose and anyone will lose weight going from 5000-10000 calories a day to 500. Biggest loser doesn't help. People with start weighs in the 200s, the low 200s your monthly WLS is going to be "slow", probably less than 15 lbs in the first month and rarely more than 10 per month after that. They are not going to drop 50 pounds in the first month like someone that weighs 500 pounds to start.
