Anyone starting to think this isn't the "right" answer/tool?
GoldUnicornThread replied to Kelleylu's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You'll probably regret it the first week after surgery. I felt completely butchered and violated then. Now I feel normal and don't regret it at all. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using the BariatricPal App -
Every time I drink
GoldUnicornThread replied to mrivero's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was supposed to aim for 20-30 grams of Protein at that point, and struggled to make that. 50-60 seems ambitious... Sent from my HTC6525LVW using the BariatricPal App -
Just wanted to say I empathize. Not only do I have to walk by and hang out near all that food, since I'm an admin, I'm the one who is supplying all that pizza and donuts and other good stuff! The struggle is real.

Sweet! How are you feeling about it? I thought I'd be terrified by this point, but I'm just feeling more and more confident in my decision to go through with this. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using the BariatricPal App -

Glad you're feeling better! And I agree, I feel a bit giddy about the idea of never being obese again--and the progress I can expect to make over the next year. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using the BariatricPal App -

@@Mammy56 I hate the dessert flavored protein drinks, too. I drink them like medicine. Unjury's chicken soup protein powder isn't too bad, but it's very watery. -

Any Seattle/Tacoma Sleevers with surgeries approaching?
GoldUnicornThread replied to kadie777's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have not heard that. The plan I have is just two weeks for liquid only. 4 weeks would kinda suck, but if they think that's a better plan... There's a GHC bariatric Facebook group? Sent from my HTC6525LVW using the BariatricPal App -

@@eliminnowp I just started the pre-op diet yesterday, but it was pretty hard! I was fine until later in the day. I left my one meal until the evening so that I didn't have to go to sleep hungry, and that helped, but the temptation was real. And I really don't like Protein Drinks. I feel completely okay this morning, though. I am GHC, yes. I don't have the surgery time yet, but I have my pre-op phone interview scheduled for early next week with the nurse. I wonder if I'll get the time then? I thought I would be terrified at this point about the impending surgery (I know I was the day I first met with Dr. Landers and he freaked me out about the likelihood of getting acid reflux issues with the sleeve ) but I just feel super relieved. Looking at other people's progress pics in other threads makes me so excited at the kind of change I can expect. -

Surgeon accidentally cutting the liver?
GoldUnicornThread replied to Rainy Days's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My pre-op diet is 2 weeks and includes 1 healthy frozen meal a day...But my surgeon will perform the surgery regardless of liver size. He just might not be able to do it laparoscopic-ally if the liver is too large. Obviously would prefer laparoscopic though. -

Hey fellow GHC sleever! I heard that Dr. Landers has the lowest complication rate in the state of WA. I just had my consult with Dr. Gupta today. He seems very knowledgeable as well. I'm still working on my 5% loss, so they haven't given me a date yet. 10 lbs to go! I didn't know that about Dr. Landers--that's great! Good luck reaching your goal. You got this. Just curious...Is the feeling of butterflies in your stomach at all affected by the surgery? Does it feel different?
