I am 9 months out and didn't see a change until I started taking pictures once a month and comparing them. I have now went down 10 Jean sizes and lost 130 pounds. I know what you are going through, don't give up keep going.... Congratulations on losing 39 pounds so far!!! That's an achievement I didn't even do that my first month.

They are concerned that I'm going to loose to much and become sick.

I had the MGB surgery and my friends and family still don't understand however my daughters are very happy that I have lost 100 pounds in 9 months. I have went down 10 Jean sizes and lost 153 inches. This is an amazing life changer for the better.

My surgeon did not have me or any of his other patients loose weight before surgery. The heaviest weight he has done the MGB on was 600 pounds. I had my surgery June 8 of this year and in 5 months I have lost almost 100 pounds. My surgery everything included with lifetime visits is only 23,000. I couldn't ask for a better surgeon he literally gives u his number and has u call him personally. He is so awesome. I apologize for what your doctor says, lacks empathy and compassion if u ask me. If you just keep following the rule and eat well and exercise, things will work themselves out. He said there will be plateaus when u don't loose however you will loose. I have lost 100 in 5 months and there were times I stalled. I'm having a hard time eating I get real nauseous. Every Dr is different, My Dr you had to pay cash for the whole procedure. You couldn't use insurance. You had to do a psychological test and meet certain requirements to have the surgery. Sent from my SCH-R970 using the BariatricPal App

He's one of the best there is plus he's a trauma surgeon. I'm very Blessed I had him instead of someone else. He gives his personal number out for you to call him anytime and he cares a lot. Ok this can't be just a quirk. Does your family live by you? Is there some kind of organization around that can help you? Ask the counselor in the hospital. Are you Native American? My surgeon didn't have us on a liquid diet at all until after surgery. I was very Blessed to have the Surgeon I had. He's the best and really cares. My surgeon had us eat light meals for 3,days leading up to our surgery. The night before our surgery we got to eat anything we wanted. And this isn't the end of food in the next year or so you will be able to eat again it will just be portioned size and you won't eat nearly as much as you did and you will be really active. My surgery was on the 8th. It took over 2 1/2 hours. My pain was so horrible it was unreal. They kept me until I was able to get around with minimal pain. I did sleep in recliner for 2 weeks when I got home and now I can finally lay in my bed. It feels like its never going to end however hunni it does. I will keep you in my prayers. Hi hun, one thing I have noticed every surgeon is different. I had the MGB on June 8. For the first 2 weeks we were only allowed G2 and Greek flavored yoghurt, and jello and crackers. This was every meal, which mind you your really not that hungry. When I got home I got to add the to go cup of tomatoes soup. Now I'm 2 weeks out and today I had my first scrambled egg. You may want to check with your surgeon. We are not allowed any Water or ice. Just straight G2 and its good. We have to have no less than 60 oz of fluids a day. Congratulations, I just had my MGB on June 8 9f 2016. I'm going on my second weekend and it has been kind of rough however I had a lot of leisions and scar tissues to cut through. I'm very Blessed to have had this surgery. This is a second chance at life for me. Without this surgery I had a chance of not making it till Thanksgiving.
