My surgeon did not have me or any of his other patients loose weight before surgery. The heaviest weight he has done the MGB on was 600 pounds. I had my surgery June 8 of this year and in 5 months I have lost almost 100 pounds. My surgery everything included with lifetime visits is only 23,000. I couldn't ask for a better surgeon he literally gives u his number and has u call him personally. He is so awesome. I apologize for what your doctor says, lacks empathy and compassion if u ask me. If you just keep following the rule and eat well and exercise, things will work themselves out. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App My Dr told me if you are where you are a stall not loosing weight, the only thing to jump start it back is sprints. He said there will be plateaus when u don't loose however you will loose. I have lost 100 in 5 months and there were times I stalled. I'm having a hard time eating I get real nauseous. Day by day..... Goof luck hun Sent from my SCH-R970 using the BariatricPal App -

Metabolic Testing?
Natasha G Ford replied to jenrae1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Every Dr is different, My Dr you had to pay cash for the whole procedure. You couldn't use insurance. You had to do a psychological test and meet certain requirements to have the surgery. Sent from my SCH-R970 using the BariatricPal App -
I'm from Oklahoma and you pay cash her no insurance will pay period. However my friend she went to Tijuana and had the sleeve done for 4,000.00 They did an awesome job on her and she lost almost 200 pounds. She's feeling good now. Sent from my SCH-R970 using the BariatricPal App

I had surgery on the same day. Good luck Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App You are very blessed your insurance paid for it. My surgeon took cash only no exceptions. He's one of the best there is plus he's a trauma surgeon. I'm very Blessed I had him instead of someone else. He gives his personal number out for you to call him anytime and he cares a lot. I haven't ever seen a Dr so into his patients and making sure everything is ok in my whole life and I have seen a lot of Dr. Good luck and be Blessed with your new journey. My surgeon had us eat light meals for 3,days leading up to our surgery. The night before our surgery we got to eat anything we wanted. And this isn't the end of food in the next year or so you will be able to eat again it will just be portioned size and you won't eat nearly as much as you did and you will be really active. Your whole chemistry will be different. Sent from my SCH-R970 using the BariatricPal App -

My surgery was on the 8th. It took over 2 1/2 hours. My pain was so horrible it was unreal. They kept me until I was able to get around with minimal pain. I did sleep in recliner for 2 weeks when I got home and now I can finally lay in my bed. It feels like its never going to end however hunni it does. I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless you and may you heal fast in the new of Jesus. Sent from my SCH-R970 using the BariatricPal App -

Hi hun, one thing I have noticed every surgeon is different. I had the MGB on June 8. For the first 2 weeks we were only allowed G2 and Greek flavored yoghurt, and jello and crackers. This was every meal, which mind you your really not that hungry. When I got home I got to add the to go cup of tomatoes soup. Now I'm 2 weeks out and today I had my first scrambled egg. Just remember to chew a lot. You can do. Good Luck and God Be With You.. . Sent from my SCH-R970 using the BariatricPal App -
One Week Post-op - Hungry!
Natasha G Ford replied to becomingmandikaye's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You may want to check with your surgeon. We are not allowed any Water or ice. Just straight G2 and its good. We have to have no less than 60 oz of fluids a day. Its been 2 weeks since my MGB and I can sure tell the difference. Good luck and always ask your Dr before asking on here. Your Dr knows best. Sent from my SCH-R970 using the BariatricPal App -

Congratulations, I just had my MGB on June 8 9f 2016. I'm going on my second weekend and it has been kind of rough however I had a lot of leisions and scar tissues to cut through. I'm very Blessed to have had this surgery. This is a second chance at life for me. Without this surgery I had a chance of not making it till Thanksgiving. I know my journey is just now beginning however I'm ready. Sent from my SCH-R970 using the BariatricPal App
