My surgeon did not say how long I have to be nicotine free? I think I need to be negative when I have surgery. I'm hoping that my surgery will be some time in December. Thank you for all of your suggestions! I have not tried the nicotine Patches as of yet. I'm going to go to my primary doctor this week and see what she suggests. Hey All - My insurance requires I have 3 months of weight management with a dietitian. Today was my 2nd visit and she asked me to start tracking all of the food I eat. My problem is, I downloaded My Fitness pal, but I just cannot understand that site and to get full access, they want me to pay $. Just curious to know how long it usually takes for most insurance companies to approve and once they approve, how long will it be until I have my surgery? I'm right along with you. I am trying to quit and cut back a lot. I don't have a surgery date as of yet because I'm still in the process, but my Dr will give me a nicotine test and If I test positive, the surgery will be cancelled. I have no choice but to quit. I'm trying my hardest, I know I've heard a lot of different stories and it's harder to heal if you smoke and you may get blood clots. Hope this helps! I'm going through the same thing! My surgery may not be until December/January but I am going to invest in the E cigarette (no nicotine) to see how well I do with that. All of my co workers smoke so I'm definitely going to try my hardest to stay away from the outside until I get the E cigarette. It's a very hard thing to do and I wish you the best of luck!!! I am just starting the process and currently a smoker. I am going to quit but in need of little help. Does anyone know if they would approved of the vapor e cigarette with no nicotine? I just like the fruity flavors. I quit smoking for over a month and my sister took my vape. Yes I started back..... It's so hard if you are smoker and everyone smokes at my job.
