Premier Protein...

The banana shakes and the caramel shakes are ok. They are just a little too sweet. A friend told me she put the chocolate shake in a coffee cup and heated up. I tried it the other day and it was awesome!! I warmed it for about 45 seconds. Tastes like a hot chocolate. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Well it's finally here! I am so ready to get this band out! Yesterday I had my scope to see about a hiatal hernia. With my band they will mark me as having one. They remove the band, will fix the hernia, and do the sleeve in one surgery! I'm super excited! A little nervous though... They told me yesterday that I had too many red blood cells. They said it was probably because I needed to drink more. After the scope I had to hang around the recovery room and get fluids and then they took more blood. Well we are about off to the hospital... See y'all on the other side..... HW 220. (Before band in 2010) SW 184 GW 130 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I use the Jay Robb's powder and make my own. It has the best flavor that I have found. -

@ taracutch: My doctor suggested Isopure, especially for the week after surgery! I have found that there are a lot of differences in the liquid diet. I'm curious as to why too!

I am on day one of the liquid diet (surgery date is 6/22.) I am also going from band to sleeve! This time it is more strict, no Soups unless it is broth. I found a few Isopure flavors that I can stand. They have 40g of Protein per big bottle. I have found that if I keep it cold it's not bad. I also use Jay Robb's Protein powder and mix it with almond milk. Good luck!

Lap-band to sleeve revision on June 23 for me! I start my full liquid diet tomorrow. Looks like it's going to be harder than when I did it for my lap-band! No Soup this time. Protein shakes, broth, sugar free Jello... Good luck to everyone!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I was banded in 2010 and had no issues for the first year or so. I lost about 30 lbs. In November of 2012 I started having issues. I'd go get a fill and be back in to get a deflate within a week. They would tell me that my band had slipped and to go on a liquid diet. I would do that and go back in and it would be fine. This happened at least 2 more times before they told me that I had a hiatal hernia. (apparently that was the issue all along) When they did my original surgery they fixed a hiatal hernia. In March of 2013 I had the surgery to repair the hernia again. They deflated my band and it was like starting all over. While I didn't have any issues with the band slipping, I have not lost any weight in the 3 years since. The only real issues I have had are I don't seem to have much restriction and I have the night cough with reflux. I went in every month ($150 a pop) and got fills and I literally have gained and lost the same 10 pounds. My original surgeon never said a word about this. I asked and they said I needed to watch what I was eating. I was doing all that and exercising. This past April I decided to switch doctors. He said that he does the band to sleeve revision all the time and that most of his patients have gone with the sleeve. He seems positive that I can have it done in one surgery, which is scheduled for June 22. Hopefully this is the case and I can start my weight loss journey again... I have a few questions..... Who used a belly brace right after surgery, which brand did you use, and where did you get it? What are your thoughts on the Vitamins Patches? I hate taking all those pills and a patch looks like a good alternative. Oh and for anyone who has had a band to sleeve revision.... did you have to be scoped the day before your surgery? Thanks!!
