Had my second appt today. Met with the psych and nutritionist. It went really well and I was just 100% honest about everything. At the end my psych said I was very delightful! ???? They had to do a "huddle" afterwards and said I would hear from them today. Just got off the phone and have all my classes and nutrition classes scheduled. Had my mental health assessment and met with the surgeon today. It went really well and turns out I am not to crazy after all. She said she sees no red flags and that VSG would be a good fit for me! Excited to have finally started this process. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I was the same way. I felt like I waited forever. I took my mental health assessment first then had a resident come in and ask a few questions about my health etc. she went over the different options. Then the surgeon came in and basically asked the same thing and we decided the sleeve was the best fit for me. It was definitely nothing to worry about. They were all really nice. I am leaning towards the sleeve because of that reason. I have done a ton of research and have noticed there are so many more complications with the band. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hey all, I am having my first appt with my surgeon in Wednesday! I am excited but nervous. I originally thought I would get the lap band surgery but after doing some research it seems like there is a lot more complications. So now possibly considering the VSG. This post just made me even more anxious for my first appt with the surgeon on Wed. What WLS did you have? I can totally relate to your story except for I have absolutely no confidence so I just figure what's the point of even trying to look cute! I also sweat excessively since having my second child so even if I end up doing my hair or makeup it ends up a mess anyway.
