Recovering from the surgery was great. But I just can't shake this cold. Plus I basically took zero time off from work Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

That's the issue I'm having too. Zero energy. I already had no energy from the lack of calories. A cold on top of it and I'm struggling. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Celebrating the slow journey. Stupid Stall
soccergirl09 replied to NewLA's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Still at a very very very slow weight loss here. Yesterday was my month anniversary! These stalls are killers for sure. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Hi there. Very similar story here. Dieted my whole life. Always gain back. I did my surgery on July 07, 16. So just under a month out. 33 years old and my BMI was 33. I lost 18 lbs since then and I'm at a 30 BMI now. No regrets so far but in a bit of a stall which is normal. I'm like you and drink 3 premiere Protein Shakes a day most days. In a way I can't wait to fast forward this process a bit to where I want to be. My goal is also 130. If you want to keep in touch we are around the same age, low BMI and a couple weeks apart from surgery date. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My first post op weigh in..
soccergirl09 replied to inkdcosmoqueen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't get discouraged. I did not start losing for a good 6 days. You are so bloated from surgery. I'm now 4 weeks out and have lost 16+ lbs. I was lower BMI so the loss is s bit slower. I also hit a 2-3 week stall. It's very real. This process is definitely not easy and your body has to heal first! You will do good. Just keep at it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Hi guys. Yesterday marked 4 weeks since my sleeve. This has definitely been quite the journey. But I think I have done very well. I was on the lower BMI so I know the weight loss is slower. And honestly I'm ok with it bc hopefully that will mean less lose skin. How are other late June, early July sleevers doing? Please check in. Celebrating the slow journey. Stupid Stall

Same as you. 4 weeks post op today and have lost like 16 lbs. but most of it was in the first week and a half. I know the 2-3 week stall is so real but hard to digest it for sure. Hoping to see the scale moving again Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I did with the unflavored one. By like a week out I could not drink it anymore and it makes me sick thinking of it. I was an avid Protein shake drinker before so they are still my go to thing 4 weeks post op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

How to quit sugar ?!?!?!?
soccergirl09 replied to Armygalbonnie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me, I had to quit cold turkey. I was physically sick for a couple of days. I literally threw up every time I would start a diet that included no sugar. I will have sugar now(well, not now bc I'm 4 weeks post op) once in a while but pretty much is clean eating the majority of the time. Diet Pepsi was my love. I quit 2+ months ago when I found out I was not gonna be able to drink it post op. It was hard mentally but I never looked back. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Yeah I totally hear that stalls are normal And some ppl get annoyed at hearing us complain about it. Just sometimes it gets the best of you. I have a feeling my shoes are gonna get smaller too. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have read this on here over and over and thought I was prepared for it. I told myself this was gonna happen. I prepared for the post op, the pain, the gas, the depression, the lack of food, the discomfort... Not ONCE in the last 10 days have I regretted having this surgery. This is a pretty hard thing that we have all gone through and I keep telling myself it will be all worth it in the end. I also thought I had prepared me for the "no weight loss/gain". I'm on phase 2: full liquids, and pretty much since I started this phase I have not lost any weight. In fact, this morning I gained .8lbs. I read and read and read again that this was gonna happen! But I guess nothing prepared me for this blow. I wanted this bad and no amount of pain or discomfort was gonna keep me away from it! But man! I'm so so so defeated today!!!! And I do understand there's a stall. Believe me, I read it all... I guess I was just hoping it would sink in better. Logically it makes all the sense in the world. Mentally, it's just a huge kick in the gut. Here I am on my second week and not losing. So it just gets to you even through you tell yourself not to let it. I guess I expected weight stalks later in the game Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hard to drink broth
soccergirl09 replied to Tommy s socorro nm's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pretty normal. Try smaller sips. I'm definitely able to drink a lot more now. But still not even close to what I did before. I'm 3 weeks out today. SW:195.8 HW:214 CW:181.2 Surgery date: 07/08/16 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Questions: Post surgery flight, Low BMI ?'s, can't sleep...
soccergirl09 replied to LowBMISleever's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just had surgery on the 7th in Juarez. Flew home two days later. Zero issues. And that was ALL THE WAY to Idaho. Long journey. Walk during the flight, compression socks. Sip Water. I was BMI 33 and I'm a 31 now. Scars are healing awesome. Scars as of yesterday. 2 and a half weeks since surgery. -
I'm at the plateau stage so it has been frustrating. I have not weighed myself in a couple days but I can tell I have not lost anything. I lost a lot super quick, like 12lbs in just a few days. I have one more day of full liquids then on to purées so I'm so nervous that I am just done loosing. I know I'm being irrational but I'm freaking out. And I do think I will get loose skin on my arms, tummy and tights. I'm 34 and my BMI was 33, 31 now, but I got the feeling I'm going to have loose skin. My surgery was on the 7th Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Tip for people making plans for post op
soccergirl09 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Friends, I'm a week post-op and decided to virtually take zero time off. I basically took 2 days extra plus my 2 normal days off. Needless to say, I'm exhausted! I have recovered remarkably well. My only issue right now is still the bloat and my tummy feels like someone punched it, but other than that I think I'm doing good. But the fatigue is nuts. I obviously have zero energy from food so I'm bragging. Don't do like me and take time off to at least be able to doze off in peace. Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
