I am scheduled for 9/22. It seems like it took them forever to schedule. Ive been out of visits for 6 weeks now. Havent been doimg too well on my diet. im waiting on insurance approval. Medical Mutual. im hoping for August date but im not thinking i will get it. CC is scheduling Sept already. Last time i talked to navigator she said there are hundreds of people going through program and wanting surgery. argh. Seems like forever. Been going throught "the process" since March. These insurance companies deny everything all the time. Its the appeals and the squeaky wheels that gets this stuff approved. Good for you!!! My MD cant find ANYTHING wrong with me except BMI. Finally did sleep study and that did the trick. Still have to give to insurance company. Im ready to FIGHT if i have to. Its my life im fighting for. These insurances have a prior auth dept who has nurses making the decisions If they are having a bad they deny everything. If it gets appealed it goes to medical doctor who then makes the final decision. Im a nurse and i can say we dont know everything. And i work for an insurance company and can say there are things i denied that i shouldnt have because i didnt understand the condition. Keep fighting!!!

Remeber this is just a goal! You will loose more when time gets closer and you go to full liqyid diet. Trust me!! Im a nurse and panicked also. I lost 5 pounds the first month. The NUT put me on partial liquid with one meal a day. Did the trick. I havent even started the process of full liquid. I see surgeon friday to schedule. I still havent hit my "goal". For those who do not support you, delete them for now, and focus on thise who do support you. I started a private group amd add people as i tell them. If they arent supportive, i dont add them. Hey Cleveland peeps im a west sider and in my pre op stages. I see Dr Rodriguez on July 15. It weird but they are having me go through all my pre op stuff (psych, nutrition, MD) before i even see surgeon. Is this normal? Im wondering how long after i see surgeon will i get surgery date. Hello everyone.... very new to these forums and so thankful i found this. Im in my last month before surgery. I see the nutritionist on the 22nd to be cleared, taking weekly classes this month to satisfy the psychiatrist to clear me. I see MD on Monday so he can clear me. Lots of "clearing"..... but i understand. I see the surgeon on 7/15 to get my surgery date provided everything else goes well. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App
