  1. I did before I had the surgery, even though I had lost 80 something pounds before my surgery which was almost a month ago. I've lost 20 pounds post op in three weeks and 2 days which makes an over a hundred pound weight loss and NOW after surgery my brain is able to see my losses very well but I think that's due to the weight dropping quickly.
  2. 3 weeks and 2 days today and im down 20 pounds and i feel like it! I can really see the difference and im soo glad i had the surgery. No regrets at all!

    CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

@@ChattyMommy30 yes I did! Right at two week mark too. It only lasted for some days because I'm coming up on three weeks in a day or so and it has disappeared except for those darn protein shakes. They make me nauseous no matter what. Just give it a week, hopefully it Will pass.

    CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

Hitting the beginning of week 3/ending week 2. I am on pureed now and it felt like heaven to have some real Food no matter how disgusting it looks. I had had it with cream soups and protein shakes, it just made me nauseous. I really struggle to get in that one protein shake and I try to get the rest of my protein in with food. I'm eating maybe 1/4 cup sometimes to 1/2 cup sometimes at a time. I eat slowly, but I definitely feel like I feel hungry at times. Maybe it's head hunger. I eat three times a day but I read in the beginning you should eat four to six meals a day because you're only getting in 1/4 to 1/2 a cup each time but I'm not there yet . I'm probably going to hit the three week stall soon so I'm not even going to get on the scale, it's no big deal to me. I know I'm losing by my clothes. They are hanging off of me. Last I weighed I was 248 about a fifteen pound loss from surgery date. Getting in 60+ protein most days and close to 50 ounces of water. I didn't get any rest after surgery. I'm a single mother and I had no help so immediately I was cleaning and cooking. I wish I could have rested but I must say I think it sped up my recovery and kept me active because my energy is pretty good now and I rarely have dizzy spells except sometimes at night which could be low sugar, low pressure, or hot bouts. Immediately after surgery I was hit with hot flashes and bad night sweats so I keep water and g2 by my bed at night. It's hard but no regrets!
  5. One week and one day down from surgery and i am about 13 pounds down already. Unbelievable! I cant wait to get my first new outfit and get all dolled up and go out, i need it. Im so glad my horrible relationship ended in January, now i can experience my journey with no negativity or distractions and i can enjoy the new me!

    CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

Thank you! I am day 4 post op and the pain is somewhat better. I definitely have not made water or protein goals but I'm trying. Got to 40 something protein yesterday and about 20 or so ounces of water type fluids. I noticed when I get up in the mornings my pain is worse and I noticed at night I get pretty bad pains. It feels like I stuffed myself and drank too much but I only get it at night and I know I can't stretch my sleeve because I don't exceed 3 or four ounces every hour. I definitely can't wait to feel human again. I feel so restricted! Yesterday was my daughters birthday and they had cupcakes and ice cream and I was fine but then my mom brought in my favorite food of all time :pizza. She served them huge slices then sat right beside me smacking on the pizza. I was like really? And I went back to my room. I wasn't hungry but I love pizza y'all. Once I went back to my room, I was ok but people really don't think before they do things sometimes. I told her pizza was my weakness many times so she did know! Other than that I'm good. I start back to school in a few weeks so I gotta get back to normal soon.

    7/26/16 VSG Surgery, Anyone else?

I had my surgery Wednesday on the 27th and I was in excruciating pain. That's just the truth I can't lie. However today the pain is better, nausea is at a minimal and I got in 30 grams of protein today which seemed to give me some energy and another 16 oz will give me a liter of water. Still bloated and swollen however I got on the scale anyway and I'm down six pounds in two days! I am currently around four oz of liquid an hour and I'm on full and clear liquids though I haven't tried Like pudding or soup or anything like that yet. Just trying to get in my protein and water first but it was easier today so hopefully the rest of this week will be get easier and by next Wednesday I'll be telling you all I basically feel normal. Lol. One can only hope.

    CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

Hello everyone, so I had to have been soo out of it cause I don't even remember really posting my hospital experience but I see I did. Anyway was sleeved Wednesday and my hospital stay never did get any better. I was told to walk 20 laps and I did so afterwards I was hurting and where is my nurse with my pain medicine? Does anybody know cause I sure as heck don't. Horrible horrible nurses and hospital experience. I truly believe if I would have had proper pain management in the hospital my recovery would have overall been better. But anyway they discharged me Thursday and I stayed with my mom that night. I was in excruciating pain that night and I slept in a sit up position. They gave me hydrocodone which I must say did nothing for my pain which felt kind of like labor pain for me. It was just that bad, it felt like cramping and I had gotten stiff. The next morning which was this morning I felt a tad better. I'm determined to get in a liter of water. I'm down 16 oz of water and did 30 grams of protein. Minimal nausea and still been walking here and there and up doing things for the kids so I guess I'm doing better. Pain still bad but not excruciating like it was yesterday. Yesterday I was forcing four oz down every hour because I thought I had to, but don't force it y'all you will end up in excruciating pain.today I am able to do four ounces without forcing. And even though they tell you dont get on the scale after surgery because you are swollen, I did and I'm down six pounds since Wednesday. I couldn't believe it. Even with my swollen stomach, I'm down six pounds so I'm expecting this weight to fall off this first month kind of quickly. It better after all of this! Experienced more gerd and throat burning last night but still taking the prescription for that so hopefully that will get better. Any regrets? No I worked too hard for this, I just want to feel better and have a speedy recovery. Sometimes I feel like I want to eat out of habit or feel like I may be hungry but I know it's my imagination because food smells overly strong right now almost to the point of making my stomach hurt. So not actually hungry and I keep telling myself yes I can do this. I didn't have much support on my journey but the good Lord really so for those who aren't married or don't have much support, you too can make it through.

    CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

Had my sleeve surgery this morning and wasn't nervous at all surprisingly. Expect a bit of discomfort right after surgery, but I feel better already. I am experiencing gerd for the first time and it's causing my throat to burn. Quite a bit of nausea and a sensation that I need to burp but can't. They won't let me do cough drops or gas x strips. The nurses have been downright terrible. Nobody gave me any pain meds until three hours after surgery and nurses are horrible. I can have ice chips and I Had to wait over an hour for those. Called nurse and waited 35 minutes to try and pee and ended up having to disconnect my wires myself and had to bend to reconnect everything myself. I'm giving this hospital a horrible survey review

    CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

Went in for my last weigh in this morning , weight was 260 from 345 my highest. I don't think people will expect weight loss surgery because once again everybody knew I was dieting and going to the gym for awhile now. Anyway surgery on tomorrow, they've changed my surgery time three times, so hopefully this time they gave me sticks. Not nervous as of right now, this morning I woke up in a panic attack. I'm just lying in bed right now cause that magnesium citrate has me feeling ugh, that's some horrible stuff! Congrats to my July sleevers, much love to the ones on tomorrow as well, and I can't wait to hear from all the 26ers soon!P.s. I smelled pizza in the car today and I know for a fact there was no pizza. The mind plays serious tricks on you when you can't eat.
  14. It sounds like there may be deeper issues than just you having had weight loss surgery. I pray you two can work everything out.
  15. Tomorrow is my last day of real food, i cant say unrestricted, there was no food funeral for me because my surgeon requires a weigh in the day before surgery and if you have gained surgery is off. My weight has been good though. Tuesday im clear liquids and then the big day!! Ive been busy all week getting last minute things done, laundry, shopping, pre cooking, i just cannot believe that what ive been dreaming of four years is finally here.

      OutsideMatchInside

You will be back on real food before you know it. The time on liquids is a really hard time, but it doesn't last very long and the long term results are worth it. Keep your eye on the prize.

    CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

@@Laughkc11 I think that is normal. I started this process in September so it's been about ten months working hard for this, and now I want to have doubts. Yesterday I looked up well can't skinny people have stretched stomachs too and they're not fat and one website said reducing stomach size really doesn't help with weight loss as it can be stretched right back and that there are indeed skinny people with stretched stomachs, and I'm like oh no am I making a mistake? But I mean I was morbidly obese which is more than just a stretched stomach and I'm on medication that I want to get off of so no more doubting, I'm just going to keep praying and wait, but I am neervvouus ????

    Quitting smoking

Right! And let me tell you the BEST feeling in the world. You know how you go to the doctor and you have to fill out your health history and the nurse asked Me if I was a smoker and for the first time I was able to answer no or write no. I was so used to writing yes and then putting how many cigarettes I smoked a day and then hearing the doctor fuss at me . When I said no I didn't smoke I was Like "wow, I don't smoke anymore. Like I really don't smoke anymore!" It's a great feeling and saves you a heck of a lot of money too

    Introduction...

Hey. My story is a little different but more personal but I don't mind sharing it. I grew up in a very abusive household. My dad was obsessive about fat. He made me start dieting at the age of four. I was drinking slim fast around the age of four or five and he would make me get up at five a.m. to exercise everyday. I was on dexatrim at seven. He was always merciless and it got worse as I got older. Looking back at older pictures of myself I realized I wasn't even big. I had gotten body dismorphia. I believe I was so stressed about being thin that I actually begin to binge and diet on a regular. By the time I was 14 I had gotten up to 245 pounds and was wearing 20 and 22 sizes. I got on ww and lost 100 pounds in high school but the cycle continued through my adult life after I had kids especially. Well my father and I got our relationship together and I forgave him and shortly after we mended our relationship, he was murdered. This was four years ago. I went through a majorly low depression, got involved with an abusive man, and my weight shot up in 2014 to 345 pounds. It was the biggest I had ever been in my life. And I decided to take my life back. I got on ww again and lost 30 pounds but couldn't lose anymore. And I remember crying out of frustration and praying about it and I said I'm going to do the sleeve surgery. (I had already researched it years before but didn't go through with the requirements) . So had to do a six month supervised diet and ended up losing almost 60 more pounds. So I've lost almost 100 before surgery. I just knew I had to do it for myself. I stopped smoking, dropped that loser I was with, and renewed my relationship with Jesus Christ. As far as my family I only told two people in my immediate family. I'm not telling anyone else.
