    Feeling Down

I had the same thing happen at same point! My surgery was 6/21. I moved to isopure unflavored in broth or plain Water. Today was first day I was able to do a smoothie again.
  3. I agree with others and I did say surgery. It is amazing what people try to ask or comment as if prying as to what surgery it is. Like my boss. But i just said surgery. It was needed for me because I had to have some time where I could be unresponsive to email. And I definitely needed that week and enjoy the lower key work at home few days later!
  4. Rest! I am post-op day 9. Really took a week to feel closer to better. First few days not my fav. Hang in there!
  5. I too am a mostly secret one with desk job. I said surgery and told one colleague it was fibroids. I definitely wanted to avoid gal bladder as I guess chances high for that one. Frankly it is no ones business and I am not one to over share that stuff generally. But people do care and (hopefully) weight loss will start to stick out. I plan on saying working with nutritionist and avoiding carbs. All true. I work from home week 2 post op. Though at desk, I wouldnt have been comfortable being back at work all day 5-7 days post op. I did benefit from it being near 4th of July so some holiday time was built in to my leave. I would say if you have it and can be out, I would give your body the luxury of leisure time to recover!
  6. I was 21st too! I have not found problem with really hot or really cold. I was on preop liquid for 2 weeks and now again all liquids. What I found after surgery was the smoothies were just not going to work for me this week at least. Esp vanilla premier which I had liked, not sure when I can do that one. Trying one this morning. I changed to adding unflavored Isopure to broth and drinking some isopure waters. I even added the unflavored to plain water and it wasn't bad. If you add to broth the trick is quick mixing and not too hot to avoid lumps. Good luck!
  7. There are chewable tablets chalky for sure. But some tablets dissolve and not as bad. The Bari advantage chewable calcium that is not bad is the chewy like soft candy not tablet.
  8. I agree barimelts are edible I have liquid calcium from bluebonnet and the Bariatric Advantage chews. I agree with surfer girl those chewables are not bad. The bariatric advantage chewable calcium tablet is gross awful. I don't think I can bring myself to finish bottle. I wish I could find a good multi in liquid-- is that even possible? Or a b50 chewable that was not sickeningly sweet or was liquid. I have capsules for that one that I break open and it is awful tasting.

Anybody use a Powerplate for Toning?

The "real ones" feel amazing and I have been on the ones that cost thousands. The research is really slim on weight loss or toning the last I saw. But it has some great benefits for balance and bone density. Actually I think their strongest research is related to bone and osteoporosis. That one the power plate seems like a consumer spin off. I can't imagine it does much.

    Post Op Diet ;(

Ugh yes they were awful! I had to take Tylenol a few times. That diet on top of no caffeine even though I had been limiting coffee a lot was just ugh. Not fun. Ask your team about Tylenol I was surprised at how fast it helped when had a couple of really bad headaches.

    "Cheating" on the liquid diet

Find a protein you can tolerate try lots. Unflavored powder to add to anything or some of the waters or different shakes. I hear you it is awful I have never dreamed of an egg so much. But protein is critical so I am forcing it to work.

    100% Pure Peanut Powder

My nut said it is good and it has a lot less sugar than regular pb and lots less fat. Just because sugar is second ingredient doesn't mean it is 50% sugar. It is 1g of sugar and totally worth it. I am over the sugar alcohol and antificial flavor crap so with unflavored whey I think this is awesome. But to each their own it can be hard to find pure peanut powdered. This is a nice alternative. Beware costco version that has more sugar and some sort of additive.

    100% Pure Peanut Powder

PB2 is the best and all pure. I have seen some with fillers added. I just bought the chocolate one but have not tried. But it was the best addition to smoothies! I can't wait to have it back. I can't have on post op liquid 6 more days! You can find everywhere it seems target, whole foods, giant.

    Calling all June '16 sleevers!

I am adding it to broth isopure unflavored and unsweetened. I have been drinking the isopure protein waters. I am thinking about adding it to water and seeing how it goes. I will report back!

    Calling all June '16 sleevers!

I did G2 and Powerade zero. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App I don't love it by any stretch but have been doing some Isopure Protein waters. Iced tea and green tea with splash of juice it is big bottle w/40 grams of protein! I have found Vitamin Shoppe is cheaper than GNC they both sell them individually so you can try flavors.
  17. Thank you! On a crummy day of still some soreness and liquid protein (post-op) day 6 I really needed that. I can relate to so much of what you shared though I think I waited a bit longer (and more pounds) to come to terms that I needed a bigger hammer to get this project going!

    Does anyone own a Fitbit?

I find my Fitbit very accurate and a good exercise and food tracker. My only complaint with my flex is that it has just died a few times. But to the company's credit they send new one when I email about this problem.
  20. Liquid and non gummy chewables are an alternative. My team said patches not good because some studies on other medication showed patches not absorbed as well by overweight people. Not clear if vitamins would be different but they don't recommend because of these problems.
  21. Have fit bit and it is great for tracking weight food and water but looking for something that would be good for tracking body measurements. Any suggestions?
  22. CirA. I have no idea. I don't remember it being mentioned before. They made it seem an easy thing. But I suspect it is because I was in such pain when waking up and moaning about it.
