I found this idea on Pinterest and I tried to make them tonight. Major fail. Not sure what order I should add the Protein Powder but I put the Protein powder and Jello mix into a bowl then added the boiling Water to mix it. It turned into one big chunky, almost rubbery, mess.
Anyone have suggestions on when to add your protein powder to jello or other things? I'm using Isopure unflavored protein powder.

****OFFICALLY WEIGHED IN AT THE SMALLEST WEIGHT I'VE EVER BEEN MY ADULT LIFE!!!**** I had to all caps that because one its super exciting and two.. Its my birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! I'm 25 today. I always told myself I would be where I wanted to be in life before 25 but go figure.. Didnt happen but I'm feeling wonderful and I have a wonderful life! Before surgery I weighed 276. When I went home 3 days later I weighed 286. Also.. today I'm 1 week post op!! Ive learned not to be ashamed of the numbers on the scale because it doesn't defined me as a person. I'm working towards new things and couldn't be more HAPPY!! Sorry if I'm over excited but my birthday is always a good one and all this excitement together is too much goodness. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!! I post everything and all updates on my Instagram if you want to follow my story!!

My name is Veronica. I'm 22 years old. I've been in the process of preparing for surgery. I find out my surgery date for the gastric sleeve on February 7th. I am so excited. And motivated! This is going to be my "before" photo. And I will post photos as the weeks go by. Currently I am at 256 pounds. I'm trying to loose 10-15 pounds before surgery.

I don't have that many "full body" photos of myself because I don't really like them.

    Hi all,
It's been almost 8 months since my gastric sleeve surgery.
I am sharing this because just like I find inspiration and motivation in people’s stories, I think I could be a source of those too.
I had A LOT of trouble after my surgery. I stayed in the hospital for almost a month due some complications and my life was at risk. I questioned myself so many times if going through all this was worth it and today I can totally say YES.
Yes, it’s me in both pictures. The first one was taken exactly 10 years ago. That was my ‘heaviest’ year (134.8 kg). No, I wasn’t happy, but I had in my head ‘I was born this way’, ‘that’s my karma, there is nothing I can do about it’. Oh, I was so wrong!
I lost some weight on the following years. I reached 116 Kg and I kept it for like 4 years. But my mind remained the same: unhappy, but conformed. It took MANY years – basically, my entire life – to me finally accept and love myself just the way I am. But the funny part is that when it finally happened, I decided I should do something.
"Obesity is not a matter of appearance. It is a disease and should be treated like one. I simply refuse to let my body suffer anymore", I told myself. So I took some action.
Does every fat person have to follow the same path? NO! That was MY choice. I chose this way because I thought it was better for me, but you go to any direction you want, dude. You OWN YOUR BODY. As cliché as it sounds, it comes from someone who truly knows how is to wear those shoes: They will try to bring you down. Sometimes they will make it. But put your sh*t together and demands the respect you deserve. They cannot reach you once you get to the top. It takes time, and a lot of patience. But I like to believe everybody can get there.
Yet, don’t think you will find heaven on this path. It’s more like the highway to hell, but it feels so good to kill some demons.
I did my sleeve weighting 126.6 Kg, in June 2016. Today I'm 82 kg.
I officially ditched obesity and now I am 'just' overweight. It's pretty much the first time in my life I reach this point. I cannot explain the feeling.
Ah, there is another thing I cannot explain: My eyebrows on the fist pic LOL.

#momappreciation I just wanted to let everyone know how proud I am of my momma. She has lost so much weight and looks better than ever!! I'm sooooo proud of her! She went from overweight and unhealthy to all around healthy! If you ask me that's a very hard thing to do and I honestly probably couldn't do it myself! She's such an amazing person and I'm so proud to call her my mom! I don't know what I'd do without her! My mom is a one of a kind women and I hope that one day I can be a reflection of you. Even if I'm half the mom you are ill still consider myself blessed! I love you momma

    Hi all.
I'm very excited. I have just got home from seeing my surgeon. He has given me a date : 14 September 2017.
I am getting the sleeve done. He said I should expect to lose 33kg or so. Said I shouldnt find it too difficult. And as my start weight isn't too high and if I can keep it at this weight I will only have to do one week of pre op diet.
I'm so happy that I finally have a direction set. I feel like I will be able to get my life together and sorted. I will finally be able to resume my life that's been on hold for a few years now. Due to chronic pain, I've given up my love of bush walking... And weight just kept stacking on. I can't wait to not be in so much pain anymore.
I'm mostly excited to live a long and full life with my husband and son.
So, a new day is coming... I can't wait.
Thank you all for your support and love. I adore this forum.

I've been very successful with losing but still sometimes have a hard time seeing who I am now. This happens when I unexpectedly see myself in a reflection and don't recognize myself, when I am folding clothing and thinking that it won't fit when I *know* it's my size. The psychology of weight loss is pretty strange. Do we all go through this at some point?

I don't think there's any way to tell you exactly what kind of questions they will ask because it's different for everyone. In general, they're looking to clear up the following:
    1) Do you have realistic expectations for surgery and the amount of work that will be required on your part both pre/post op.
    2) Are you truly ready to make healthy changes in your life and have you addressed the things that may have held you back before?
    3) What kind of support systems do you have in place in your life?
My evaluation was just a relaxed conversation with the psychologist, followed by an online test that I took afterwards. In hindsight, it wasn't scary at all and I worried (excessively!) for nothing. Hope this helps and good luck on your journey

It has been a journey, i started the process in 2015 got sleeved on April 13, 2016. Insurance problems to got aproved i was at the border of the 40bmi mark, tried diferent diet but not successful. After having the sleeve it has been the best results and life changing that i had in a long time. I feel wonderful still much more to come. My recovery had been awesome and really quick, i had been able to eat the mayority of thing without having any hard time, but also have learned the hard way when something dont agree with me.
Its a journey to be continue!

Hi, I was sleeved in Monterrey, Mexico and I chose Dr. Jeronimo Monterrubio.I recommend him because always talked me with truth and honesty and his team are very professional and serious.
He attends in Christus Muguerza Sur in Monterrey, it's a complete hospital with equipment to respond any possible eventuality (that's very important for me). It isn't a makeshift or small hospital. All patients have a very clean and private bathroom, toilet, tv, couch and recliner. And the nursery team, are WONDERFUL!
    I hope this help you.

I had WLS in 2013 and lost almost 170 pounds in 10 months. This year, I decided it was my year to finally get my flaps removed. What a difference!!! I hope everyone can see the attachment.
My surgeon was excellent, very caring, and most importantly very experienced and knowledgeable about what he does. Couldn't be happier!
