Ughh - hair loss is very real. My hairline is noticeably thinner. I've been losing hair constantly for the past 3 weeks (exactly 3 months post-up). Today was the first day I dyed my hair since the hair loss started and everytime I went to squeeze water out of my hair, more hair kept sliding out. I know it's temporary but it's still scary!

Sherrie, I'm kind of like you. I have fine hair, but I had a thick head of it when I was younger - could barely get the hair band to go around twice for a ponytail. Now, it's like 3 or 4 times! Honestly, I saw a picture of my current adult ponytail and thought - what the hell? It's so tiny! I also take Hair Skin and Nails and use biotin shampoo and conditioner, and hit my protein goals everyday, but clearly it's not enough to stop the hair loss. I just hope it doesn't get too noticeable by others before it starts to grow back in. My hair is pretty straight, I wonder if it will grow in curlier (which happened to my mother when she got older, after all her pregnancies).

I'm almost a year post op and I suffered from heavy hair loss from about months 3-6. It did eventually stop. I really recommend a topical treatment called phytocane. They sell it on amazon and at sephora. I started using it at 3 months post op and even as I was shedding hair I could see the new growth popping up. Now I have little short hairs at the top of my head! But they have filled in my hairline and it looks way better now than I was looking a few months ago. The hair loss will stop! Have faith.
