That's ok. I hear a lot of people referring to the NUT, glad to know it means nutrition and not their doctor, lol Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

I was on the other website, the post op, where people were describing their experiences after surgery. Now I am thinking twice. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

Yes, I am feeling stick too. I need to get the problems in my head first I am thinking. I can hardly wait to sucker punch this weight problem, when ever that happens. It has totally controlled and taken over my life like a bad drug addiction. Everyone says, just do this 6 month diet. That's like telling a drug addict to just quit drugs. My insurance wants me to lose 15 pounds, but, that's not easy to do I wish my insurance gave some intense eating disorder therapy before surgery, but they don't. They just tell you to go to a dietician. The last dietician I went to told me to eat a tomatoes with a little cottage cheese for dinner, yeah, that's not hapoening Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

I haven't had surgery yet, but was wondering if any of you have had surgery to get rid of the excessive skin? Does insurance pay for this? Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

Sorry to hear about that. I am thinking about getting someone to help me after surgery. Some people say they are fine by themselves, but I guess it all depends on the person Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

I am thinking you consumed a lot of salt and that could be the problem Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

What about an I V. For fluids. Can you do it that way? I guess this would require a stay in the hospital but it may be worth it and maybe ice chips? Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App -

Being scared is normal......and I suggest not torturing yourself by reading all the horror stories.....yes there are risks but the risks that come along with remaining obese are much worse!! Now I'll give you a positive story....My surgery was 5/16/16, that was on a Monday, the following Monday I was back at work. I never took any pain medication once I was released from the hospital. The first 4 or 5 days it was difficult to drink enough but everyday got better....you just have to keep sipping.....I feel completely normal now the only difference is I eat a lot less.......and I'm a lot smaller!! This surgery is the BEST thing I've ever done for myself!!! I am already half way to my goal! I've lost 56 pounds and have 56 more to go....Pictures say more than words... This is my before photo at 252 pounds And this one was taken today at 196 pounds You look great! Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

Thank you Alex. What you say makes sense. My personal life consists of me helping others a lot. I get so frustrated, especially with family members and 2 very enabling parents. I am going to take the tips people having giving me, including you. Thank you. Great idea about the bed time ritual. I will try to lose the 15 pounds. I need to keep it off. This 15 pound loss is so my Molina insurance oks me for surgery. I worry about keeping it off before the liquid diet. Thank you for your time and suggestions. I appreciate it very much Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App -
