Heartburn / Acid re-flux natural relief.
spazniche posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
ACID RE-FLUX Natural Relief Today I got the worst acid re-flux I have experienced so far. I hit the web and found I needed 1-3 tbls of Apple Cider Vinegar ( unfiltered/ organic with the mother). I too was prescribed pantoprazole every day. It worked a few days then it stopped this morning. I found a few recipes to sooth heart burn and acid re-flux naturally. I bought the following today. Braggs ACV, aloe vera juice, powdered ginger, powder cinnamon, organic natural apple juice and lemon juice. As soon as I got in the car i added a capful of acv to my 4oz Water bottle a bit of the apple juice for taste. It went to work immediately soothing my acid re-flux. it made it manageable to function and gave relief. Hints: 3 wks acid re-flux/ heartburn is better to none existence. I made another and been sipping at it since 5pm over ice. The actual morning drink is called "happy belly". 4 oz of warm water ( or cold) 1 tbs of aloe vera juice is the base mix. You can flavor it to taste with a tea bag, lemon juice 2 oz of apple juice, tsps of honey, pinches of cinnamon and/or ginger powder. Slice of Golden delicious apple in the water. You can add 2 tbs of ACV to unsweetened organic apple sauce quick relief. Sounds crazy but it works. The only thing it didn't fix was my arm and belly are sore, from the stress of serious re-flux. I take several meds in the morning so this will also help break them down easier. I have sipped it slowly today and it is bearable even with first tie use. Thank heavens for the WWW. Research it and there are so many ways to enjoy this happy belly base. Give it try. Spazniche Sleeved day 9 post op. -

Apple Cider Vinegar. Not just vinegar. Yes, it does sound like that but it brings PH balance to the stomach. I stated to do your research. It worked for me. I did the happy belly drink this morning and my acid re-flux has gone away except for an occasional burp. No more gurgling and rumbling in my belly and I am not bloated anymore. To each its own. It worked for me and I am sure it will from someone else just as it might not work. Over the counter adds up to problems in time.. so I opted for natural. That's all. -
Is your surgery a secret?
spazniche replied to Tara1992's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am keeping my WLS to myself because I don't want to hear all the bs that people have to say and the dumb questions that come with them. And I don't need ppl dieting for me or telling me what I need to eat or do, etc. I took a page right from another friend who had the surgery. I had to have a mass removed and its pretty routine. It isn't a lie and simple. Leaves no real questions to be answered beyond, no its not cancerous. -

Worried about losing weight too quickly

I am waiting to get approval from Medicare also. They cover the wls, am thinking they will cover the follow up skin care to as long as your doctor makes it clear it is needed for life quality. Let know what you find out. I am interested. Sent from my C6916 using the BariatricPal App -
Boss asked what I was having surgery for.....
spazniche replied to reachbree's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your boss had no right to ask you that. And you were correct to tell her you are not giving that info out. What someone I know did is told his boss, he had a mass that needed to be removed. A Fluid tumor like mass and it is common surgery. It works and keeps ppl in the dark that you don't want involve. :-) Sent from my C6916 using the BariatricPal App -
I know I have the same problem. I found nectar fuzzy navel flavor tastes near to tang or light OJ and it blends well, not an after taste and does mix with crystal light lemonade or orange very well. Vitaminshoppe is where I got mine. They also have packets you can try. :-) Sent from my C6916 using the BariatricPal App
