    Side sleepers

I had to just deal with my pain and I have back issues, I wasn't able to sleep on my side until week 4 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. My mom and I have been sleeved and she helps me through my stages and give me advice from her experience. She actually put a teaspoon of miralax in one of her drinks daily plus a stool softener daily and it helped her go. She said the first couple weeks it was kinda painful to go and hard to go but when she started to this it helped a lot. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Packing for hospital

My biggest advice from my experience would be to stop and get some gas x strips, not the pills but the strips! I would take one whenever I could after my procedure and it helped so much with the gas build up and pain. Also I walked as much as possible to help get that gas moving and out. 7 days post op

I had the same issue and when I would drink I would take smaller sips and not big gulps and that really helped me Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I work in surgery I do many different types of cases and if they are pre-scheduled surgeries my surgeons tell there patients to clean there whole body with hibiclens including there private areas because more than likely the patient will be getting a catheter put in. The nurses do clean your private area with a hibiclens type soap before inserting it, so basically it's just an extra precaution to help prevent any infections

    Having surgery June 15th

I suggest buying gas x strips and taking with you for after the surgery it will help with the gas pains big time! Be sure you get the strips not the pills. After the surgery get up and walk as much as possible it will help get that gas out as well. The only day I broke down from pain was day 3 it's the worst day, my only regret was that I didn't stay in the hospital for day 3 because I knew it was going to be ruff, I work in surgery and Iv always been told by my doctors day 3 is the worst and now I am a firm believer. But I promise you will be suprised that every day when you wake up you feel so much better than the previous day. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    One week pre op

Day 3 will be your worse day but I promise you every day you will feel so much better than the previous. My only regret is that I wish I would have stayed 2 nights in the hospital instead of 1 just to get me through that 3rd day. But be sure to get up and walk as much as you can believe it or not it makes such a difference!! I also took gas x strips with me to the hospital and took them after my surgery and they helped a lot with the gas pain. Just be sure to get the strips nots the pills. You'll be suprised how much better you will feel every day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. My surgeon had me get hibiclens over the counter and bathe in it from head to toe before I went to the hospital. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
