  1. Yes, maybe we will see each other surgery day. I'm ready and very excited to also start this new phase of my life. I started my diet today, so far so good. When's your dietician appt? What flavor protein drink are you using? Be sure you add your "ticker" and other info so you can track your progress and we can congratulate each other as we go along. Hopefully we'll meet at the Dr's office!

Yes I went to my appt. and started my pre-op diet today. I already had my surgery date, it's also the 13th! I'm so ready to start the new phase of my life. Please email me the address if you can. Susan, thanks for the "bump". Mom, you need to add your "ticker". Stay in touch. Good luck!

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

I forgot to ask this until I saw my signature......how do I change my ticker from saying 240 lbs gained, etc....to me it looks like I want to gain another 100 lbs, yikes! I tried a couple of different things on the web site but nothing changed it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

Thanks for the site for my ticker. 90 lbs is awesome, way to go girl! You look fantastic in your picture. I find myself reading on this site and suddenly I've been here for hours, I'm like a sponge that just can not get enough information. I'm sure that will never change, you ladies and guys are so wonderful for sharing and answering questions. Thanks for your support, I'm sure I'll be asking many questions as I begin.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

Hi Everyone! I've been reading this forum for many weeks, actually months and have finally made the decision to get my life back, yes, I'm being banded on March 13th!!!!! WoooHoooo, I can not wait! I begin my pre-op diet tomorrow after my doctor's appointment and go from there. I've read so much about this surgery and yet I feel almost completely in the dark, but I'm excited, I'm ready and I know I'll keep reading and asking questions here and it'll all come together. I'm 50, have 100 lbs to lose and need to get all the neat stuff in my signature line that each of you have. Oh yeah, I do have to get a consent from my primary care dr. that I can have surgery. I also have lab work to complete and possibly a chest x-ray, not sure about the reason for that, but anyway. I'm self-pay and yeah it's a chunk of change but it's a chunk for and about ME, something I've not taken care of for many years and I deserve it! Thanks for all your help so far, I look forward to sharing and learning with ya'll!
  6. I spoke with Dr. Collier at the seminar, called his office the next day and scheduled my surgery, basically. I am self-pay so that takes a lot of the waiting out of it. I'll have my appointment with Dr. Collier on March 3rd, do my follow-up with my primary doctor, get ok'd for surgery, lab work, etc. and be ready for surgery on the 13th! I'm ready, ready, ready! What time is your appt. on the 3rd? Good luck to you and hopefully we will meet and be support for each other. I agree, it's scary and yet I feel so positive about my decision I'm ready to move forward.
  7. I have an appointment with Dr. Collier on March 3rd and my surgery date is March 13th!! I am so ready! I can't wait to start the new phase of my life. Can anyone tell me the pre-op diet....low carb? low fat? Please share any info with me.
  8. Thanks for the responses. I left a message with journeylite today but didn't hear back, probably will on Monday. I'm hoping for a seminar next week and to schedule, I'd really like to fast track this because I have an open window on time for only a couple of weeks before I begin a new position at work and won't be able to take time off. Any other suggestions anyone might have for me please give them. THANKS!
