I am 6 days post op and I have found that I love putting ice in my ninja because it turns into snow... I can eat/drink about 12 ounces of that in an hour or so. I'm scared my stomach is not functioning like it's supposed to because I thought I wasn't supposed to drink as much... Anyone else experience something similar???

Question About Liquids
cuteNATL replied to cuteNATL's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For my protein, I pour some premier protein over ice and sip.... It gets a little watered down when the ice melts, but that shouldn't change the amount of protein right? It takes forever for me to drink the protein but no time for me to sip on my snow cone ???? ???? ???? -
It takes me forever to drink one premier Protein shake. I even started pouring it over ice. Lolololol

It seems like everyone keeps raving about genepro protein. I personally like the Premier protein chocolate shakes cause they are already made.

Anyone Feel Pressure in their Abdomen?
cuteNATL replied to cuteNATL's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my sleeve on October 4th. I think the pain in the abdomen is common. I also feel bloated, but I believe it's part of the healing process. I've noticedthat deep breathing is a little painful so I'm trying to do some breathing exercises to help. I think what we're experiencing is normal...good luck! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App I've noticed it's getting better as I walk more.... So I'm hoping it's getting better for you too!!! -
Emotional day 2 post op
cuteNATL replied to facebro29's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Question! Is gas the feeling I'm having in my stomach? Like it feels like super heavy pressure.. I can barely inhale deeply. -
I am 4 days post op and I'm on full liquids today. I feel like I'm full but I know I haven't gotten anywhere near the amounts of liquids and protein in today. I will sip some then have this small amount of pressure in the center of my chest, then it goes away. Am I really full and should just stop sipping???? I don't have an appetite either but figured I needed to stay hydrated. Any advice would help!

Every insurance is different. I have Kaiser and they have one localized system they use. Endocrinology, Nutrition, and Behavioral all approved me in the same week. I then called my surgeon's office for the consultation and had appointment with to set up a date in like 2 weeks.

So guys I only did like 4 days of. The liquid diet and I'm happy to report that my surgeon was able to successfully do the surgery on Monday. Here's to hopefully an easy recovery!

OCTOBER GBs where are you?!?!
cuteNATL replied to jtellechea001's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Also don't buy a lot of anything yet because your taste buds WILL change. I liked the isopure and pb2 before surgery, and afterwards I can't stand them. Now I'm in love with Premier Protein shake.. Chocolate and caramel -
OCTOBER GBs where are you?!?!
cuteNATL replied to jtellechea001's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery was Monday and I'm so glad I didn't buy much. And let me tell you, if you can make crushed or snow ice in a blender , it will be your best friend. -
Is that the incision where they removed the stomach? I know my surgeon said that's the one that hurts more than any of them.

For those who had gall bladder out prior to surgery, how different is the sleeve in comparison?
cuteNATL replied to simpsongrad's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my gallbladder removed in 2010... And it took maybe a week and half to heal from. I was sleeved on Monday and the pain is reminiscent of having my gallbladder removed, BUT there is one incision that hurts more than ANY of them and it's gonna be the one where the surgeon removed your stomach. I think I will be healed in maybe 2-3 weeks because this surgery is a little more invasive, plus I'm a lot older than when I got my gallbladder removed Lolololol. You WON'T be able to bend at all. -
I can have this right!.Starting pre op diet tomm
cuteNATL replied to TanishaP's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was able to have any full liquids and sugar free pudding was included. Every plan is different though. -
My surgery is Monday... Good luck to you!
