    May 10 sleever San Antonio

I'm 3 months out and still on mostly soft foods. Sleeved on May 25th. Major constipation issues. I even got a fisher because of it. Now taking care of that too. Eating is really hit or miss. If it's a miss, I'm in pain for a few hours. If it's s hit, it's usually fish or soup, or something soft. No lagunes or cooked broccoli or uncooked carrots Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Is 60 lbs at 6 months okay?

I'm following the Bariatric diet strictly and am also averaging 10 pounds per month. My doctor said that I was losing slower than average. I'm not letting it bother me. I'm still walking at least 40 minutes a day and try to drink Water and Protein as much as I can along with the Vitamines. They say that everyone has their journey and I know that this weight will come off as long as I keep trying. I am envious of those people able to lose over 100 pounds in 6 months. 10. I too am going for my premotherhood weight. My weightloss has been relatively slow compared to others who have posted. I fluctuate about two pounds regularly. I believe that it's the horrible constipation that is causing me to only lose 2-3 pounds per week. I was sleeved 5/25/16 and to date only lost 40 pound. I've lost it mostly in my face and butt Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    11 Days post-op

I hear you on the Protein drinks. I am 3 months post opp. The acid reflux is still continuous and constipation is never ending. Water was never difficult to drink pre surgery but now I have to force sipping it down. My doctor is horrible post opp. His name is Dr. Yucircin from Toms River NJ. Don't go to him if you expect any post opp support. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Snack ideas

I have seen that link and couldn't eat most of the foods on it because of the high sodium content. I was unable to digest the Beans, pea Soup, and any lagunes. I say try everything to see what works for you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. I was sleeved on 5/25/16. I have a horrible NUT and doctor. They have very little post surgery interest. Hence this website has been my savior. I realize that prior to surgery I had loads of energy which allowed me to get through all the bumps in life. I did all of my confessions at Overeaters anonymous. Read lots of books and spent lots of money on quacks. Now I can't make it past two rides at hurricane harbor without wanting to go home and rest. I have snippets of energy. I'm on top of the Protein and Water intake. I'm exhausted after walking a mile. I've lost 40 pounds but it seems, from my perspective, at a huge sacrifice. I have been religiously committed to this new way of life but I just can't last as long as I used to. My reality was that I was constantly going. It's like I have to monitor my energy output as well as everything else. Even at work I have to get as much done as I can on the most pressing projects because I'm not sure when I will putter out. Now I'm monitoring sleep, exercise, stress and anxiety, avoiding psychopaths and crazy people, food intake and hours ingesting, water intake, poop output and urine output. Personal disposition and human interaction. Journaling and personal projects. I even leased a place in time square to keep active. However my current is not meeting my expectations. Is there anything I can do besides taking any stimulants like coffee or medication? Will it get better with time? I just can't keep up like I used to. My brain and body are on two different planets. Will I ever get my energy back?

Half of my blood labs came back and only Vitamine D was low. B12 was high. They told me to stop taking as much Iron and B12. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Will I ever get my energy back?

I haven't had coffee for 5 months. I don't do energy drinks. I take Bariatric Vitamines daily. Severe problems with constipation even though I take colase daily. I also take Probiotics daily. My calorie intake is approximately 800 calories per day. I followed up with the Bariatric surgeon 2 weeks ago and they ordered bloodwork. I went to labcorp and am waiting to hear about any Vitamine deficiencies. I need more energy so that I can exercise more. It's a catch 22. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    361 Days Later: My Story

  20. I'm 5 weeks post op and my hormones have lost their mind. I'm find myself resistant to follow any routine. food used to be my comfort and now the constant small portions of puréed foods and liquids are so boring. I don't go out to eat which has decreased my socialization dramatically. This Fourth of July weekend has hit me really hard. No one really knows what I'm going through and I live alone. My energy level used to be so much higher and now between hormones, lack of energy, lower back pains, and a subconscious rebellion against a discipline and regimented life, I don't know what to do. 22. I had the sleeve done. Acid reflux wasn't a serious problem before. I basically had it under control but now it's out of control. How do I avoid aria ion of the esophagus? That sounds horrible. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I am 7 weeks postop and I have really bad acid reflux at night. I've noticed this especially happens after I eat chicken salad or egg salad or tuna salad or spicy fish (fished baked with red pepper). I drink liquid yogurt upon awakening in the morning to get rid of that feeling. I guess it's the mayonnaise that could be the culprit but what are my other Protein options that taste decent?
