1 month sleeve celebration and weight
Panda Chai replied to 4u2nvyme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I was also sleeved on June 28th. I am currently on soft foods. I eat 1/2 cup of food 4 times per day. I am only eating what is permitted, (Cottage cheese, yogurt , Soup, mashed veggies, scrambled egg and low fat soft cheese) . From Pre op to 9 days ago I lost 31 pounds. In the last nine days, 1 pound. I am walking more and more and not loosing anything. Has anyone hit a similar "stall"? Any suggestions??? -

Post Sleeve Problems
Panda Chai replied to Panda Chai's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you/ That was helpful. I am so focused on Protein, I was not considering how many ounces per day I was consuming. Will increase that and see how it goes. Best of luck to you as well. -
Post Sleeve Problems
Panda Chai replied to Panda Chai's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for your reply. I try to get in the Isopure during the day for the Protein, so I'm sure I forgo an adequate amount of Water. I get in about 5-6 cups of water a day right now. Its really hard to get down more than that with everything else. -
Just wondering if anyone has struggled post op? I am 1 week post op. I am consuming approx. 60 grams of Protein for the day, along with broth, ice pops and Jello and feel constantly light headed. When I try to walk outside I am fearful I will loose my balance. At night I get headaches and have trouble falling asleep. Wondering if anyone has any tips to help? Thank You

Told A Co-Worker

Because there are too many idiots out there, and I would consider myself a private person, I chose only to tell my immediate family. I told my coworkers that I would be out 2 weeks having Gall Bladder surgery. That way no one has to form an opinion.....The surgery is a catalyst but it is in no way the easy way out. Its a life changing decision that will ultimately give you a longer life and a healthier one. -

First day of liquid diet and already have an headache!
Panda Chai replied to PRINCESS2218's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Regarding the Caffeine, I used to drink 2 venti starbucks a day. Now I have one small diluted one a day with non fat milk. It gives me a small shot of caffeine in the morning. Diet soda- I gave up cold turkey. I missed it the first day but not since. I bought some awesome zero calorie Water Enhancer at Walmart. Check them out if you are near a Walmart. I bought cherry blackberry. -
First day of liquid diet and already have an headache!
Panda Chai replied to PRINCESS2218's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi I'm on my 7th day. I will tell you that it does get better after 2-3 days. Two things, If you get that empty feeling in your stomach, drink broth. It definitely helps. Also I told my doctor that I couldn't stomach more than 3 shakes a day , and all in all only getting 650 calories a day. He let me incorporate 2 hard boiled eggs into may daily diet. That helped tremendously. So if you continue to get those headaches, it doesn't hurt to ask. I should have asked, How many days of pre-op diet? I have to do 14. -

Im', definitely weak. I'm just hungry all day. I just find it odd that some Pre-Op diets include chicken and veggies while others don't.
-
I feel sick of the shakes already. How much Protein are you getting a day with the liquid diet? I'm getting about 90 grams. Maybe I need more. I'm weak and have a headache all afternoon in work. I'm only on day 3 of 14.

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
Panda Chai replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi everyone: Reading all of these stories is so inspiring. Im 55 years old and have worked in the same industry for 33 years. I worked tirelessly for a promotion that I truly deserved and when the time came, I was passed over for someone tall thin and young. Sound common....but I heard a rumor that "I didn't look the part" to head up a corporate America position"....I think it was the last straw. As the years have gone by I have let me self go. I am not as active as I used to be, I struggle with stairs, and sit on the couch way too much. I needed to make a change and my surgery is 6/28....this is for me!!! and I can't wait.. Good luck to all of you..... -
HI Surgery is June 28th. I start my 2 week liquid tomorrow. Trying to get mentally ready. My full liquid is made up of primarily yogurt, shakes and pureed Soups. Any suggestions? I'm alittle nervous.
