I've been eating eggs. They're very soft and easy. You shouldn't have any problems with them. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I've seen the ricotta bake, but it requires tomato sauce and my doctors plan wants me to stay away from that. Do any of your doctors say no to sauce? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I have tattoos and have lost major weight twice. I've gained weight and now 6 days post op with bypass. I have experienced this and my tattoos actually looked better when I lost all my weight. The ink just looks more black and fresh. Now that I've gained weight they kinda stretch but they don't lose shape. They just don't look as dark. My tattoos are on my chest and arms. Black drainage
PrinceVanHalen replied to PaulStephens1975's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah mine is currently oozing out as well. I just keep changing the gauze pad daily. They say it'll stop on it's own and close up. So I guess I'll see. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Extremely hungry 5 days post-op
PrinceVanHalen replied to hapend2016's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'd probably be starving too. I'm day 6 post op and I started puréed foods on day 4. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Didn't follow 2 week liquid diet:(
PrinceVanHalen replied to d0minicanmama1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'll be honest, I didn't follow the pre op diet at all. I had your same fears. They didn't weigh me before surgery either. After surgery, my surgeon said my liver looked great and the surgery was very easy. Little does he know, I didn't follow it at all. I don't know if I just got lucky or what. Miss Real Food! [emoji23]
PrinceVanHalen replied to curlysue86's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I'm 5 days post op and on puréed food. I just can't have carbs, sugar, vegetables, fruits, or tomato sauce. I noticed others eating chili here, but my doctor said no tomatoes or tomato sauce. I'm just trying to be creative with my puréed stage. My doctor told me I could throw in mayo into tuna or chicken as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I did a lot of research on here and online about buffalo sauce. I love spicy too. Everyone said it's worked for them and it has worked for me as well. It hasn't upset my stomach at all. I even threw some Frank's hot sauce on my eggs today. Sooooo good. I threw chicken breasts in the crockpot and poured in buffalo sauce. The crockpot makes the chicken super moist and falls apart. I mixed it all up real good and was basically puréed with buffalo sauce. Frank's buffalo sauce has no sugar, fat, or calories. So it's also very healthy. My largest Incision- hurts!
PrinceVanHalen replied to curlysue86's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have pain from that area too, but I also found its not the actual incision, it's underneath it. Something inside is causing the stabbing pain. I have found that mine is starting to somewhat subside in pain. I'm 5 days post op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Long stall and cant break it
PrinceVanHalen replied to EmilyJune's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
One month post op and you're allowed carbs?? That's the issue right there. Cut out ALL the carbs. With my doctor, I'm only allowed carbs after a year or I meet 75% weight loss goal. I'm allowed fruit after 6 months. My plan consists of 4 oz of any type of high Protein like chicken, beef, turkey, or fish. Protein is what will help you and carbs will only hold you back. I have been eating scrambled eggs for Breakfast. I've had tuna with some mayo for lunches. I've also had cottage cheese. I just made chicken in my crockpot yesterday with buffalo sauce. I had that again today, which is really good. My puréed stage is two weeks and then I move onto soft Proteins. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

How much walking did everyone do after suegery?
PrinceVanHalen replied to rimmarrufo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery Tuesday and got home Thursday. I did a lot of walking in the hospital but it's been over 90 degrees outside at home. So I've just been getting up and walking around my house. I'm afraid I'd become easily dehydrated in the hot weather. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

It is all a bit confusing at times, so I can see people getting VERY confused. Some doctors have two weeks of liquid diets post op, not my doc. Day three is puréed and I'm just fine. My doc says no carbs and no tomato sauce, yet people are making chili to purée and mashed potatoes are on their approved list. Nothing nutritious about mashed potatoes. My doc says no milk or yogurt, yet everyone I read has been having yogurt. I asked my doctor about this and he said don't listen or pay attention to what they're all doing cause it's wrong. I assume I should believe him. As much as I'd love to have yogurt or puréed chili. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
