Gained weight just 3 weeks after surgery? How!
B1essed1 replied to ssmoore's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Could it just be your period? I always gain about 2 pounds that time of month. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App -
I didn't read the whole comment. It was rather too long for me and I'm a lazy reader. Lol However, I pretty much got that people are reacting a certain way to your posts. People will always have an opinion and feel the need to express it. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. It's just flawed human nature. Ignore , ignore, ignore, and don't give the negative people so much acknowledgment because then they start to believe that what they have to say matters. Carry on and shine bright! Is your surgery a secret?
B1essed1 replied to Tara1992's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm a private person to begin with. Only my husband and bff knows. I don't like being asked a lot of questions nor have I ever inspired to be a poster child for anything. I'm very thankful for all those who do share thier journey publicly because it has helped to know what to expect. Kudos to them. As for me, I'm keeping it to myself but don't mind answering questions through this type of social media that allows you to keep your identity private. Gastric Sleeve / Day Surgery
B1essed1 replied to time4mefinally's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It's when you are given this colored liquid to drink and make sure there are no leaks in your new stomach. Not all surgeons do it that way though. My surgeon performed the leak test in the operating room. So thankful mine was done that way because everyone one says the the barium swallow is a horrible experience. Protein shakes make me bloated
B1essed1 replied to fancy4life's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe adding some benefiber to your protien shakes and chewing on some gas x tablets could possibly help. Definitely call your nutritionist or your surgeon's office to get the proper advice. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App -
Gastric Sleeve / Day Surgery

I think it really depends on how well your body recovers right after surgery. I was very blessed to only have mild discomfort and pretty much zero pain. My surgery was at 8am and was awake and walking around by 11am. I was able to sip all my water with no issues so by 3pm I was out of there! Leak test was done in the OR so I'm sure that's another reason why I got to leave early. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App -
HOW DO YOU SUCCEED WITH HEALTHY EATING WHEN YOU'RE MEXICAN
B1essed1 replied to marthaejurado's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh there are still so many things you will be able to eat. Steak or chicken fajitas with bell pepper and onions wrapped in lettuce. Bean chips and salsa or queso. Guacamole, menudo, calavasas con Chile y queso. Chiles rellenos, ceviche, frijoles charros. Just use coconut oil or olive oil for frying. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App -

If I didn't have a desk job I probably wouldn't have been able to return so quickly. I wouldn't recommend anyone going back to work until the absolutely feel well enough. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App -
Gastric Sleeve / Day Surgery
B1essed1 replied to time4mefinally's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I went back to work on my 3rd day post op as well! I think it may be a combination of your health at the time of surgery and having an excellent skilled surgeon will determine how well you recover. I followed my surgeons advice and did as much walking as possible the first 2 days. I was exhausted but forced myself to move around so recovery would speed up. Gastric Sleeve / Day Surgery

If you had your surgery done at the Nicholson clinic, then your leak test was down while you were still under anesthesia. They fill your new stomach with a blue dyed liquid and they probably told you this coming right out of surgery so sometimes it's hard to remember all that is said to you when you just wake up. You should have passed the liquid when you had your first pee after surgery. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App
