Posting to post that I met my very first LBT'r today! Bimbabe and I knew that we were going to be at our surgeon's around the same time. I was being a stalker and asked another lady if she was on here. Neither she nor another lady in the waiting room had heard of LBT but were very excited to know about it. Do I get a toaster for bringing in 2 new folks? :-) Oh and I told my hairdresser about LBT. She has a friend thinking about WLS. Bimbabe and I are very excited about our upcoming surgeries. Our surgeon has moved 100% to the Realize band; I don't know if I have an opinion about that or not. Hopefully she and I can hold each other accountable in the future. We should hear Wednesday about our pre-op and surgery dates. Yippee skippy!!! PS - The upper GI wasn't as bad as I had thought. Having said that, I'm not offering to do one for fun next week, mind you. She had me rolling around on that table like a fat, flopping fish. She said, "yea, we call this table aerobics." I said, "if I did aerobics, I wouldn't be fat!"

That's horrid! I figured by the time one is old enough to get a band, they're past huge and colorful fonts!!! That did hurt my old eyes. Gah

But periods and commas are typed with the right hand. :-)

So completely off-topic.....(I'm still pre-banded and BIG.) There's a guy at work that has been flirting with me for a couple years and has never asked me out. I've gotten tired of the mixed signals and have kicked him to the curb only to have him weasel his way back into my life. He knows that I have feelings for him so it's not like he's clueless (well he is, but hello). So what I don't get is why keep playing the game with me and emailing, IM'ing, etc if he's not interested. :biggrin: If I told most people to take a long walk off a short pier, it would hairlip hell (southernism) before I ever heard from them again, right? Not dingbat! I've been real nice-nothing; I've been a total bitch-same. Tho ignoring him does seem to bother him. 0:-) Currently, we're in a non-speaking timeframe. I'll catch him watching me in our cafeteria, etc but I just ignore him. What the hell?!? Well just had to get that off the chest. Hopefully I'll get some responses but even if I don't, I've lowered my BP. :mad: I heart LBT and this great forum!

I wish I'd kept my mouth shut like y'all have! I've told my parents, brother, approx 10 friends, and my boss who is also a friend. (Had to tell him since I was going to be off.) Vehemently did NOT want my extended family told. Hopefully my mom can remember to keep her mouth shut! Vidahlia - I double dog dare anyone to tell me what I can and cannot eat!! Just smile really sweetly and say, "I'll let you know when I want your opinion/comments. Pls don't hold your breath!" 0:-)

Haha - she's definitely sick of food! She was aiming for 13-15 hours and did it in 12:25. I cannot imagine! I keep asking why I can't give them each 10 lbs to exercise off, 10 more, et al. They wouldn't look like Skeletor and I wouldn't look like white Star Jones!

Now hopefully they're eating to help their poor reserves!

Posting to say that my friend and her hub finished their first IronMan! I love them both but I'm kind of jazzed that she beat his time! :-)

Green - I'm so sorry. How are your treatments going and how are you feeling? I think there are approx 10 people know at work and after reading this thread, I do worry that a couple won't be able to keep the secret but oh well. Since I need to lose 150ish, I'm not going to tell the number of pounds lost b/c after I hit 100 and am still not skinny-skinny, I don't want the judging. I plan to say, "oh a few" even after it's a lot lost!! And to "how are you doing it?" - say "pushing back from the table"! Then if/when they push me, I'll say, "you've asked twice and I've answered twice." 0:-)

Girl, I wish!! I'm just trying to get into college football season! That is why I'm getting the surgery - to lose the damn halo!!!
