When my mom had arm surgery, the doctor kept her bandaged longer b/c women are known to be pickers!!! As a matter of fact, my mom and I both really pick our cuticles but we have good nails! Weird! Travelin - I hadn't thought about the adhesive - good addition! Example of how LBT is such a great community! -
He is actually working in Sydney but is visiting Perth for a business reason. I need to find out how long he will even been in Perth b/c I am not sure! I will definitely ask him though, thanks! :eek:

Uh yeah, the sad thing is that I'm sure there are plenty of Americans that couldn't place all 50 states!!! A close gf is originally from Uruguay (but now a proud US citizen!) and laughs at how pathetic I am with world geography!!! I can place all 50 states (though the northeast is tricky) but am not 100% that I could place all of the European countries I've been to! :thumbup: Oh well! PS - it's 2:24am - why am I awake? Doh!

Do people with sleeves have the same issue as RNY'ers that the stomach can expand if you push it? My gf that had RNY is definitely gaining weight and she's 3-4 years out. I guess I like that I can continue to have fills if I start gaining years out. Is that naive? (PS - MommaMac - I am, in no way, berating your decision. I just know nothing about the sleeve!) Hiiiiiii She! Did you have fun? Did you get in trouble for drooling on said 'spensive vehicles? Did I tell you that my brother is in Perth? Typical geographically challenged American - I looked it up and found that it couldn't be farther from Sydney! The trip is for work so he's getting a free trip which makes him very happy! :thumbup:

OMG 10 vials of blood? Don't tell me that! My pre-op is Monday which is a holiday for us so yippee! I'm going to work Tues and then be on vacay Wed (since I have to be up so early) and to get everything squared away... AND I AM GOING TO VOTE - WOOHOO!!! I wish the election were over already; I'm tired of discussing it and tired of arguing! Ack!

Renite - it sounds like you are allergic to band-aids just like my brother. Presuming you need additional band-aids after your "wound check," ask that they use non-latex(?) band-aids. (I think band-aids are latex.) -
Thank you, BBK! I don't need to panic this close to surgery!!!! I went to Wally World for supplies today. I am so not a fan of that place! I got 3 different brands of protein shakes, SF popsicles, Gas X, wirefree bra, liquid Tylenol, and turlet paper b/c yanno, I'm weird and prefer TP over sandpaper. :thumbup:

That is hysterical! I've always jet lagged really badly on my trips to Europe. When my parents went to visit my brother in Sydney, mom never did get completely adjusted. Eek!

hee hee - no more Dubya! I saw the quote and then googled for the next inauguration date. Tada! Dang, 3 suitcases? Good grief, is he a girl? Kidding! I found out that my brother's going to visit Perth. I'm so jealous! Football, sigh...we (Tennessee) play Georgia tomorrow. I dread it. :smile2:

I actually like Publix but I do miss my former Kroger. It was brand new and all fancy. The one around me is uh run down with questionable clientele! OMG She - $499? GASP!!!

Thanks Plain! I didn't grew up around guns so I don't know these things!! I'm obviously a single female living alone. I've thought about getting one but I'm wicked clumsy and am afraid I'm hurt myself!! Glou -yes, yes we are!!! Oh and PS - funny that I just read your Palin comment. I am currently in the process of putting together an email to 2 Republican gf's explaining why I despise Sarah Palin. I had dinner with a friend from college and her hubby. She looked at me like I had 3 heads and said, "are you a Democrat? Is Cindy (another friend from college) a Democrat?" I said, "uh yes, Lori." I wish I'd said, "It's not a DISEASE, Lori." Please God, let this election be over!!!
