I eat 6 meals. (every 3 hrs) Each one of 1.7 oz. That's all I can eat. Very high Protein. I'm hitting between 75-80 grams a day.

I eat about 1.7 oz. If I eat more I feel really uncomfortable.

Try GENEPRO. It works great for me. You can add it to anything. It has no taste at all. I add my to my broth. I start Puree foods in a few days and I will add it to all my food as well. I dissolve the tablespoon in about a Tablespoon of Water and then add it to any foods.. It's amazing. -
I went with GENEPRO too. What a blessing. You can't taste it at all. I add it to my broth.

I am in my 4th day too and in pain. It's not uncommon at all.

Just got home form the hospital. Had surgery yesterday morning. Today I feel better. I'm having a little pain when I drink broth or Propel Water. The pain only last last a couple seconds. I'm assuming because my new tummy is swollen. I also had a hital hernia repair. I get cold sometimes and than I get really hot. I feel my face burning at times.I'm very grateful everything went very well. Baby step to recooperate. What did you guys do to figure out how much to drink. How long should it take us to drink 2oz of chicken broth?

Thank you guys. As much prepared as I thought I was, I feel lost now. I have to get use to my new tummy. I think the transition from IV to liquids was hard for me. Trying to figure out what I can tolerate. I love this site -
It's really hard hun try drinking some Powerade zero. I sip on mine all day long. The hunger pains are less intense. I really does help. I drink 2 bottles a day. It has helped me get through the last 8 days of this nightmare.

Any on liquid diet wake up feeling nauseous?
motherboard replied to Aaaaaa1234's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm on day 7 and I'm super nauseous today. Not sure why. I drink over 70 Oz of liquids plus chicken broth and Powerade zero. I've been tired but been able to deal with it. But today has been terrible. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App -

Pre & Post Op diet
motherboard replied to snugelkin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try GENEPRO. Its flavorless and some GNC carry it for 40 bucks (I think). I add it to my already mix Protein shake for the extra protein. There are alot of people here that love Genepro. -
Pre & Post Op diet

I can't remember who it was but it was a lifesaver. (Thank you if you are reading this, bless ur heart)... Grab a couple boxes of Low Sodium chicken broth (I got the great value brand from walmart) and then get some celery, carrots, a whole onion, garlic and some seasonings. Blend it all together and put it to boil with the chicken broth. Let the flavors penetrate the broth. Than strain it. Make sure you strain it. You just want the liquid. The chicken broth taste delicious. Taste just like homemade and not out of a box. I Strongly recommend this. That has been my life saver. I drink about 5 or 6 cups of that a day and I find it to really give me some energy and less headaches I also drink Power aid Zero. I sip on the constantly and it helps me fight hunger. I’ll also eat a couple of SF Jello with the broth. Another thing I’m finding good is the SF popsicles. It gives you the biting sensation you are missing. Something sweet after some hot broth is just perfect. This is what has gotten me through the past days. I hope it helps. It's cheap too. -

First day on liquid diet!

Hello I relate to you. But Alex is right. Just think of getting through today and ONLY today. If you think about the next 10 days you will go nuts. I read here that someone posted the following. OMG I'm so excited I got my surgery date. These last few months flew by. Can't wait to be on the other side. :)
-
My paperwork was submitted a few days ago. Now just wait, and wait and wait some more. This seems unreal, I started the process months ago and now I'm so close. I remember when I first got the check list of requirements my insurance requested it seemed sooooo long. I was overwhelmed and now it seem sureal. Hopfully I will be in the looser's bench in a few weeks.

OMG the acid! Not sure how much reflux I can take...
motherboard replied to justhere4theshow's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try sleeping with a wedge. Place a wadge and your pillow on top. You could still sleep on the side but you will be a little elevated. Maybe that will help with the reflex. -
Where did you guys sleep when you got home from the hospital? Were you able to lay flat on the bed? DId you sleep on the recliner? I'm wondering if I need to buy a recliner.
