    First NSV

My first NSV was when my back stopped hurting after losing the first 15 lbs. I'm now 2 months post op and down 40lbs and today I realized I can cross my legs again. YAY! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Packing for hospital

Chapstick is a must! Long phone charger is very useful. Toothbrush, hair brush and I even brought a little makeup. Maybe clothes to wear home. I just went home in my hospital gown. It was a really large one that covered everything and was so comfy. Stayed in it an extra day at home. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

It was during week two when I started full liquids such as creamy Soups, oatmeal and grits before I had one. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Hungry!

I also find that SF Popsicles help settle down the hunger pains. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Hungry!

I was hungry too. For me a lot was caused by excess stomach acid. I started back on Nexium and it helped tremendously. Also starting soft foods helped a lot too. I'm only 19 days post-op and still feel hungry at times but it's manageable. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I was sleeved 5/10. I'm down 21 pounds including the 1 week pre-op diet. SW 250 CW 229. Weight loss has been stalled for about 10 days. Everything has gone very smoothly. I'm still hungry at times though. Anyone else waking up during the night hungry? Per doctors orders I'm drinking 2 Protein shakes a day plus four "meals" a day. The foods allowed right now are Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, 2% cheese and nut butter. I can also have no more than 2oz of oatmeal, grits, mashed potatoes or saltine crackers each day which I try to avoid. I usually get in about 110 grams of protein and about 1000 calories. Seems like a lot but I handle it well. Walking 30 minutes a day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Elevated LFT's

Protein is processed in the liver. If you are eating a very high protein diet it can raise LFT's. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    No more sweating?

I'm 2.5 weeks post op and I was shocked when I kept finding myself cold. Before I seemed to always be hot and with little effort I broke out into sweats. I had terrible night sweats too and that hasn't happened at all. What a nice side effect. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Anyone get sleeved in May?

I was also sleeved on 5/10. I lost 8lbs pre-op and 13 post-op but I'm at a stall. Started high Protein diet this week and I feel like I'm eating a ton. 3rd week diet plan is yogurt, cottage cheese, 2% cheese, eggs and nut butter. I have to eat a 4 "meals" a day (2oz - 3oz each) plus 2 premier Protein shakes a day. I end up eating approx 1000 calories a day and 110 grams of protein. Seems like a ton. Doctor says to walk 30 minutes a day 3-5 days a week. No more and no less until 2 months post-op. Glad to find some other May sleevers. Look forward to following your progress.
