Fear of Failure and a New Goal..

Go for it girl! -
A quick story. I used to ride motorcycles. A lot. Back when I was doing that I had several shirts that I used to ride in and they all were black with flames coming up from the bottom. I ordered a shirt and it came with this shirt and they never fit. I swear that the black one is actually an XL labeled as a 2XL. I hung them up in the closet and swore that I would wear them someday. That was 2003. That day is finally here! Although this definitely isn't my style anymore, I'm wearing this dang thing. The black one is my next goal.

How long to wait to go in a swimming pool?
highfunctioningfatman replied to creatingthenewme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have to wait just long enough so that your current swim attire no longer fits! -
I also understand the hard time learning from someone much younger than you. I became a supervisor when I was 27 and I found out in a hurry that there is little to no work ethic in my generation and younger. I prefer to hire employees in their mid 40's and older. I've had several employees that had a hard time learning and listening to me because I was so much younger than them and I had to learn how to show my respect for them and work even harder than them to gain their respect.

What did you replace food with?
highfunctioningfatman replied to SlimJill's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks! I worked my butt off on that one. It belongs to a good friend of mine. The first engine that I built was that flathead when I was 16. The truck was primer grey at that point. That is one of the few vehicles that I've ever told the owners that I would but it if they ever sold it. Like all projects, it takes time and money. Fortunately it wasn't my money! -
Has anyone looked at the money they have saved post op?
highfunctioningfatman replied to mbuczkowski's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I should add that my savings is just on eating lunch out and my ice tea habit. My sweetie said that our grocery bill is about $125-150 cheaper. We've always bought quality food. -
Kinda personal BM question
highfunctioningfatman replied to Heidijenn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Once you are on solid food is when your butt tries to make parking curbs instead of melted Hershey bars. Fiber is a good thing or else hemorrhoids can be in your future. -

What did you replace food with?
highfunctioningfatman replied to SlimJill's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Finally this one is MINE! I will describe it simply 500+ horsepower and a 6 speed! I have 90% of the parts and I'm hoping to start on it this fall. -

These will get combined. To make this for my wife. -

These are some of my own personal projects. From this with a dead engine. To this. Vehicles that we have stripped for parts and then scrapped. -

7 weeks post op
highfunctioningfatman replied to dominyks_mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know it was a typo, but when I saw "exorcist bike" the image popped up in my mind of Linda Blair chasing you around as you pedaled the bike. No typo. I hate that damn thing and I think that it is possessed! It keeps increasing resistance on its own. Not quite. It does sit in front of my living room window and I wear my shorts, a t shirt that can now double as a tent and my slippers (don't judge me) I don't get on the pedals while getting my butt off of the seat because I would moon my neighbors when my shorts would slide off. I do like to do the free weights naked because Mrs. Fat Man enjoys the show! -

I use an exorcist bike, free weights, one of those hand grip thingies, a simply Fit board, an old total gym and I chase my wife around. -

I sat down and figured it out trying to estimate low at my savings. I came up at $320 a month without factoring in clothes. The only thing that changed is that I can't drink plain water so I mix Powerade Zero 50/50 with water. The Powerade is $.80 each for a 32oz. Now I'm at about $300 a month savings between eating out, my old ice tea habit and the medications that I no longer need. $4400 for the sleeve, $472 for the flights means that in just over 16 months it has paid for itself as long as I choose to be naked. -
My wife is "mad" at me. I put on her size 12 pants and they are loose on me.

A perfectly normal nose! My sweetie will occasionally post on my username on an automotive forum that I'm on but she typically doesn't do forums. I hate farcebook but occasionally I will ask her to post something for me.
I'm fortunate in that my sweetie and I just have fun and truly love and respect each other! My sweetie matches my kind of crazy perfectly and makes my insanity stronger. Her mind is just as tainted as mine if not worse...

HFFM, you are a lucky ducky, both you and your sweetie. And a tainted mind or 2, hey it all adds spice to life! Good for you both!

I do like it and for the price and size I don't think that you can beat the workout. -
