That seems crazy high for TJ, why so much? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I was about to say the same thing! Who in the world is the surgeon in TJ charging $17k?!?!?! It is because i am high risk because my BMI is almost 60 so it costs me more as they have to have extra medical staff during the operation for me. The cost also includes flights, my companion's expenses and ongoing support. The $17k i didnt mention is in Canadian dollars too. With the current exchange it works out to about $13k US
