I haven't had my surgery yet, but my doctor's office recommended at least 4 weeks off work. Told me i needed it for recovery, getting on a eating schedule, and giving your body time to adjust to smaller amount of food. -

I am not banded yet,I am waiting for my surgery date. I am currently walking my dog for an hour a day five days a week. Also, I have just recently added going to the gym after work 2 days a week to walk 30 mins on tredmill and use the weight machines. -
Hello. I am a dispatcher for the King County Sheriff Dept in Washington. I have been approved and am just waiting for the date.

I had to have, blood work, ekg, upper gi barium exam and chest xray. I also have to join a weight management program for a year(two months diet before surgery and 10 months after). This is after waiting 4 months to find out if insurance coverage was approved, but w/my insurance all i will have to pay is the 1500 for weight mgmt program, so guess it is worth the year long wait it will be by time i get it done.

I am still here. I am still waiting to here from the psychologist. Any idea on how long it takes for them to contact you. It has been over a week since mailed the form in. How is the food stage going? Congrats on the weight loss.

hello. im new to the group and just starting my process with group health ins. i got the ok for referal from insurance to join the bariatric program and am now just waiting for my phone appoinment with the nurse to discuss it. i was just wondering if anyone else has used them and what the whole process is like with them.

Hello. I am new and just got my approval letter from insurance to join the program at Group Health. I was wondering if anyone here has had theirs done by them. What the expierence was like and the Doctors requirements. I dont have my first appointment with nurse,which is by phone until next month.
