    April 2006 Bandits September Challenge

    Way to go Julie, welcome home. I didn't get in my exercise today, but I'm really starting to get into the groove by going to Curves. This challenge is definitely what I needed. What do they say? It takes 3-4 weeks before something becomes a habit? I'm hoping that working out at least 3x a week will become a habit for me! Roberta

    Well... come on over to "April 2006 Bandits September Challenge" The idea is to do at least 30 mins. of exercise at least 15x during the month of September. We figured that this would be doable even for those of us who haven't been exercising regularly. We also keep a log of our exercise. We are there to encourage one another, or to gripe about not being able to buckle down to exercise. No one is made to feel guilty if they slip up!!!! So....come join us. You might as well, you just said your on your way to the gym.:clap2: So you'll start keeping track from today!! There are 24 more days left in the month so you have plenty of time to make our goal. Just look thru the thread and you'll see different ideas on how to post your progress. Use whatever format you want. Come on April bandits....join us!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Roberta

    Yes, that was so sad about Irwin. I really do feel for his family. I used to enjoy watching him. So......Amourette are you going to join our challenge now that your back????? Boo: I was on a plateau for about a month!! Bummer!!!! Then I dropped 5 #'s. I think the main reason for my plateau was NO EXERCISE. So.... I'm trying to stick to this challenge. I even joined Curves to get me started. So exercise may be just what you need to kick start your weight loss. Why not join us in the September challenge? Roberta

    Isopure--low carb or zero carb?

    I also swear by the Isopure clear Protein. I use one everyday. I like the Orange/Pineapple, Mango Peach, and Alpine Punch best. Roberta

    Good job Kat. I wish I could get that much walking in per day. I like walking outdoors, but a lot of the time there is no one available to walk with me. I know what you mean about the pictures, and how you view yourself now. I too was amazed how big I let myself get. Even though I've lost 40 lbs, when I look in the mirror I see just how far I still need to go. This challenge is just what I needed. The strength training we do at Curves should help to burn more fat. God knows I have a lot of it that needs to be burned!!!!!!!! A friend just called and she is available to go walking tonight. Yeah!!!! That should add on another 45 min to an hour to today's total. Look out Betty......I'm sneaking up on ya !!! Roberta

    Hey Kat, I'm a firm believer that exercise is exercise. So do whatever works for you. You have a great goal of exercising everyday. Susan: no beating for you, not even with a wet noddle! There are 28 more days in the month and I have not doubt that you are serious about this challenge. I agree with Kat, spending time with your family is priceless, and the Band is very forgiving. Tomorrow is another day. LapBandit: welcome to our group!! You and Julie are off to a great start. We can do this !!! This month is going to be the start of REGULAR exercise for me and I am determined to keep this up after September. So, if anyone sees me slipping, please, please give me a kick in the pants and jump start me!!!!!! Roberta

    Thanks Julie. As long as it doesn't irritate everyone else I'll leave it as it is. I'm hoping after the holiday the group will get larger. I am so impressed that after a hard day you got off your couch and went to the gym!!! Sixty min. on the Elliptical?????? Your my new hero!! Do have a safe trip, the weather is supposed to be miserable tomorrow. Here on Long Island we're expecting at least 2 inches of rain. The roads will be bad and getting a flight out should be tough too. At any rate... have a good time. Roberta

    Some how when I edited my signature for the September challenge, it updated all my previous posts. So it looks like I started my challenge the end of August. Julie, since you suggested adding the info to our signature line, do you know how I can fix the earlier post? I am NOT computer literate. Sorry... What did I do wrong????     Kat....I can't believe it!! I'm going for a tour tomorrow at my local Curves. It's good your husband is feeling well enough to return to work. Hey Julie... sounds fine to me. Could you PM me and with an example of how you'd do it. That is IF it isn't too much trouble. If you don't have time to do that, we'll just follow your lead when you post your exercise.     April Bandits, It's August!!!!

    Unbelievable isn't it !!! I think they are still having some trouble technically with this site from last weekend. One is gone, and the other says deleted. So even though it looks like two are there it's actually just one.
