Kat have a good time, sounds like you should be down several pounds after all of that. In my book you definitely get extra points for the inlaws. LOL Bluehill: Yeah!!!!!! I knew it would happen!! Good for you. I'm so happy for you, I know how discouraging it can be not to see the scale move after you've done everything right. 40 min. at Curves today.

Yes, and I think it's supposed to speed up your metabolism. I'm not sure though. I suggest you go to their website for complete details. www.trimspa.com. Roberta

    April 2006 Bandits September Challenge

Well I went for a bonus round!!! My girlfriend called and we went for a 40 min walk around the school track tonight. Yahoo.... so with my earlier workout at Curves, I got in 2 workouts today! Thanks Susan for the high five. Bluehill: Trimspa is the product Anna Nicole hypes. It's weight loss tablets. They contain Green Tea, some Hoodia, Chromium, Cocoa extract, Glucosamine, and some other stuff. It doesn't give me the jitters like some other stuff I've used in the past. I started using it this month because last month I was on a plateau for about 6 weeks. I was so bummed I got desperate. It was the first time since my surgery that I didn't lose 10 lbs in a month. I know... it wasn't realistic to think that would continue, but I didn't even lose inches. So I figured I'd give the Trimspa a try. Like I said in an earlier post, I don't know if it's the Trimspa or the exercise (probably both) that's giving me results. Whatever it is... I'll take it !!!!!!! Roberta

40 mins. at Curves today......my scale was kind to me this morning.... I'm happy to report I've lost 5 #'s since Sept. 4th (when I joined Curves and started taking Trimspa) Bluehill: See, you must be loosing inches for yor Chiropracter to notice your weight loss. Yeah!!! Congratulations on that NSV. Roberta

Let me clarify my statement. I don't think it's evil to weigh daily. I think the SCALE is evil because it lies to us, and often in the past caused me to give up because I was doing everything right and NOTHING was happening on the scale. Just as in the case with our dear Bluehill who is working so hard and doing everything right! Alas, the scale is withholding it's reward of seeing the numbers go down! BAD SCALE!!! BAD SCALE!! Hang in there Bluehill... it's just that dreaded plateau that Julie mentioned. You'll see results soon. Have you tried on any of your clothes that you weren't able to wear before the challenge? I bet they fit or are close to fitting you now. Roberta

    April 2006 Bandits September Challenge

Hi Julie, I started the Trimspa about the same time I started Curves so it's hard to say which is responsible for my increased energy. I have noticed that my appetite has declined since I started the Trimspa. Last week as I was walking across the street to Curves I noticed one of the owners staring at me. When I came in she said she didn't recognize me because of the change in my body shape. I weigh myself daily, I know I shouldn't but I'm obsessed with the scale. I know the scale is evil and often lies to me but I can't seem to help myself. I've definitely lost inches and about 4 #'s (since the 4th). At the end of the challenge I'll let you know exactly how much. I'll also be due for my second weigh in and measurements at Curves the first week in October. Roberta

Boo, I'd go for the fill. You should have still been going down in weight before the challenge. Have you seen a loss in inches instead of pounds? Since we started the challenge no change in weight may be due to the muscle being heavier than fat rule. I understand, being too tight is a miserable thing. Is your doctor very aggressive with his fills? If so, maybe you could ask him to give you smaller fills (.5cc's) That is if you can afford to go that route. My fills cost $250 a pop, plus $250 for the office visit. My ins. takes care of the office visit, but I pay out of pocket for each fill. I'm going on a cruise the first Sunday in November so I've scheduled my next fill for October 5th; that way I'll have enough time to work out any fill issues I might have. I also did something different this month since we are doing the challenge. I started taking Trimspa. I'll weigh myself at the end of the challenge and see if I've lost more than the usual 5 lbs. I've definitely lost inches from going to Curves, I can see that already. Anyway, I hope someone else in our little group can give you advise on your "to fill or not to fill" issue. Have a great day!! Roberta

    April 2006 Bandits September Challenge

Has anyone found their sweet spot and how does it feel? My doc says you will just know - I am looking for that. Deb:clap2: I don't know if I can call this my sweet spot, but for the last 3 weeks I've been tight as a drum in the morning. I gradually open up some as the day goes on, but I definitely eat smaller portions throughout the day. My weight loss is no longer 10 #'s a month but I knew that wasn't realistic to expect anymore. I seem to hoover around 5 #'s a month loss, which is fine as long as the scale is going down. Roberta <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

    April 2006 Bandits September Challenge

Thanks Julie, Bluehill, and Kat for your concern. I'm feeling much better today and just got back from a 40 min workout at Curves. Thanks for letting me count my 20 mins. yesterday. Kat: I had the same problem with my signature yesterday. I hope your husbands follow-up goes well and that you enjoyed the fair. Betty, you and Deb have awesome workout schedules. Susan: I agree with you, this challenge has been just what I needed since I wasn't doing anything outside of occasional walks; IF I could get someone to go with me. I'd love to continue the challenge into October so that exercise might FINALLY become a habit!! I agree with Julie though, if the stakes become too high, I probably wouldn't try to meet the challenge. But... lets bounce around a few ideas on how we can might tailor the next challenge to the groups needs. Roberta

    April 2006 Bandits September Challenge

Hi guys, I see everyone is really stick to this and getting in some exercise. I'm posting because like Susan I haven't been feeling well. My asthma started up Friday and I've felt pretty rotten since then. My DH arranged for me to get a hour massage Saturday morning and that helped, but I still don't feel right. I got on the treadmill tonight, but was only able to do 20 min. I was sweating like a pig and having trouble breathing. I know 20 min doesn't count, but I felt I needed to post it for my own morale. Bluehill: you are doing great even with the late start. Susan: Glad to see you were feeling well enough to get in exercise two days in a row. Roberta

Anyone notice that you aren't loosing weight but you are loosing inches???? I bought 4 pairs of pants in size 14w's for a cruise I'm going on the first week in November; hoping that MAYBE I would be able to fit them. I figured if not, hopefully by the Summer they would fit. Well.....I tried them on this morning and they fit:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: I'm so happy!!! Now I HAVE TO WORRY THAT THEY'LL BE TOO BIG!!! :faint: Who would have thought that would turn out to be a problem. I'm lovin' this Curves thing!! Roberta

Loosing muscle....that's scary because the heart is a muscle. I too wonder how you would go about calculating it. Eva, you seem always to be doing some sort of exercise since you got the Band. I don't know how that would be possible. What did your doctor say about how he arrived at that conclusion?
