Just got the news Kat. I am so sorry that your family is going through this most stressful time. Please know that my thoughts and prayers go out for your husband's recovery and to strengthen you throughout this ordeal. Please, when you have time, let us know how your both doing. Roberta

    April 2006 Bandits October Challenge

Thanks Bluehill and Susan!! Well today I'm not doing too well. I had to stay home and wait for Sears to come and check my heating system ( no heat when I turned it on), this was a must because Friday is supposed to be cold. Well, I have been super tight since my fill on Thursday and found myself not being careful to take small bites and wait. I'm sure you know the rest.......I had my first episode of the slimes and finished off my new experience with a PB!!!!! How wonderful!!! Now I have to determine if I'm too tight, or have I for the last 5+ months not been eating like a Bandster. I have to honestly say I think it is the later. Needless to say I'm not feeling too well and am not inclined to exercise today. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Everyone is doing so well. To be such a small group I think the support here is great. Roberta

Julie congrats on your NSV, your a little fire ball and a great inspiration. I had a personal trainer many years ago and it does make a difference. Kat, I am glad you weren't hurt in that hail storm, are the kids alright? 41 inches?????? outstanding job on your weight loss to date!! Betty isn't it grand to be able to clean out our closets? I have a couple of outfits that had become my uniform during my heaviest weight....now I can't stand to even look at them. This week........out they go!!!! I'm not even giving them away for fear of seeing them on someone else!!:faint: I went apple picking yesterday and this morning I found I had loss 5 more pounds!!! I'm at my half way mark with 50.5 lbs loss.:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: I would never have believed that this could be possible for me. Seeing the dedication of our group is really helping to motivate me to keep moving. Great job everyone!!!!! Roberta

Good for you Susan in getting started....sometimes that's the hardest part. Julie sounds like you ended up having a very good workout. Got to Curves at 6:30 am this morning and then straight to grocery shopping. They had a raffle at Curves for one free session at an Acupuncturist and I won!!! How cool is that?

    April 2006 Bandits October Challenge

40 mins. at Curves. I've gotten a late start this month. I did something to my back over the weekend and woke up with pain in my right lower back and hip. I feel better today, but I don't feel envigorated from my workout today, just beat. I'm going to get weighed and measure this week also. I'm curious what my stats will be. Good job Kat! Eva: generally I like to walk, and I did look forward to last months workouts at Curves. Today, I exercised because I knew I had to for the challenge, I kept looking at the clock the whole time I was there. I don't know why I feel that way today. I hope it wont be like this for the whole month. Roberta

    Band Friendly Med!!!

Thank you, thank you!!! I hated the liquid and have been doing without pain relief because of that nasty taste. Roberta
  13. This is the challenge: At least 30 mins. of any kind of exercise done 15 x during the month of September. We can post our progress weekly. Posts to encourage our group, share how you are making it work, or to vent will be a plus. We will share our success stories and totals on October 1st. Any changes or additions to the challenge are welcome, just remember September starts on Friday. So post your ideas before Friday!! ARE U READY????? Roberta

    April 2006 Bandits September Challenge

I'm in for an increase in time and frequency. Like Susan, I want it to be a goal that is obtainable for me. I need to share this with all of you. Saturday was a really bad day for me with my asthma. I had to do two Nebulizer treatments, and one today. I felt better today, not really myself, but better. Now here is my point; although the weekends never work out for me to exercise, today I felt compelled to do something. I went on the treadmill for (very slow speed) 15 mins. I don't plan on counting that time, I just wanted you guys to know I would never have done those 15 min. if we hadn't started this challenge thread. I think exercise is finally beginning to become part of my life!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Julie you are a maniac with that elliptical. I wish I could stay on that longer that 5 min. Great job!!

The scale will eventually move as Bluehill nicely demonstrated. You just have to hand tuff!! Adding weights is always a good idea since it will help burn more fat. Congrats on making it to 13 workouts. You joined us late didn't you? Roberta
