Sizes clearly mean nothing
beyondgrief replied to Womanvsmirror's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm pear shaped and am sitting at 62 pounds and I cannot comfortably put on sizes smaller on both top and bottom, yet. Everything, however, is moving and redistributing it feels like. Hang in there! -
Caffeine - must it be gone forever?
beyondgrief replied to cindym44's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I began to drink caffeine after about week 4. I did not before because it acts as a dehydrating agent (diuretic) but I'm exceptionally hydrated and am having no issues drinking Water, so it doesn't cause me problems. Now, I drink a non-carbonated caffeine source every day (tea, Spark). -
Just curious if anyone here uses the Garcina Cambogia Patches and what results you have had? If it's a layer on top of what we are doing to lose fat and works I was interested in using. Thanks! Working beyond grief for a better life!

Anyone seen these? Just left Sam's Club and was intrigued by them. I like that all the ingredients are things I know/real food. Although there are less-caloric ways to get Protein in (shake, etc.) I do like that these are real foods in bar form. Any thoughts? Opinions? Experiences with Wella Bars? http://www.samsclub.com/sams/well-bar-peanut-almond-variety-packl/prod20201221.ip

Best protein bars
beyondgrief replied to charley27's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The Premier protein + fiber peanut butter crunch is legit -- the Luna chocolate chip cookie dough is one, too (although I find it to be more like a candy bar so I limit it to only specific circumstances). -
I have GOT to get back on track
beyondgrief replied to madisunshine1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Agreed, that listerine strips idea is going with me to work. I get boredom hunger sometimes at work because unfortunately the majority of the time I'm sitting on my ass. I don't necessarily make terrible choices but make ones that could be better! This will def do the trick!!! -
It's a Labor of Love: Labor Day Weight Loss Challenge
beyondgrief replied to goplay94123's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
9/12/16 - 353.8 And I noticed my 9/6 posting weight of 357.4 wasn't entered into the spreadsheet -- not sure why, but here you go! -
Babbs, thank you for that graphic. I was sleeved 7/20 and am often wondering if I'm "doing enough" to lose. At 7 weeks I had lost 41 lbs and so this helps me manage my expectations. Thanks!!! (Although secretly I so desire to be the outlier!!! ;p) Working beyond grief for a better life!

Sleeved 7/20 but I have a lot the same as Kathy. I'll add chunk canned chicken, hummus, string cheese, hard boiled eggs, egg whites, turkey bacon and turkey sausage crumbles, low carb tortillas (I do miss having a delivery method for things so I use this sometimes), aged Parmesan crisps (Protein buy crunchy), quinoa, and my new favorite put on everything protein source: black beans!! Best Fitness/Food Logging app?
beyondgrief replied to charlie24's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've tried all but settled on myfitnesspal because I found the catalog and accuracy of food logging is great. I tried Baritastic and wanted to much to like it.. since it's "for" us, however, I found the catalog of foods was not real comprehensive and the information wasn't as accurate as I'd hoped -
