How do you know when you're full?
Torriluv87 replied to ebroms17's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Feeling full now is totally different than pre op for me. If I'm too full it just starts to back up on me in burp form. It's uncomfortable, tight, and rumbly, but its always that last bite that i never know will take me over the edge. No matter how slowly i eat i hit a wall about 15 minutes in and i have to stop. Alternative to walking after surgery
Torriluv87 replied to gotime0810's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I honestly doubt i walked as much as most of the people here. I have a really bad back and had a flare up after getting home after my stay in the hospital. I just slowly paced my room or the hallway of my apartment a couple times a day until i felt better. Take your time and do what you can. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
SAIL INTO SUMMER CHALLENGE

Cw: 157.2 Gw: 150 7/28/2017 If it wasn't for "Martha" I'd probably be closer to goal. Hopefully by next Friday i can be closer to goal. Ugh! So frustrating! Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Wondering how many pounds lost means a smaller size.
Torriluv87 replied to GotProlactinoma's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It really depends on brand and where you carry your weight. I'm 155 to 157 right now at a size 10/12. I'm also 5'2. But i notice now it takes a lot less to lose a size. Now i could probably get into an 8 in another 5 to 7lbs but its a struggle because I'm top heavy. My thighs will always fit pants before my stomach. Part of me went back to retail because im lazy and haven't worked out since getting this surgery and figured being on my feet for hours a day would help keep me active to an extent. I still need to hit the gym but it's scary. I have no idea what my calories are 98% of the time. I just try really hard to stick as close to my plan as possible. Doesn't always work tho lol. SAIL INTO SUMMER CHALLENGE
Torriluv87 replied to Dashofpixiedust8's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sorry for the late post. Finally had a decent movement so i figured I'd weigh myself again. Gw: 150 Cw: 158! (Omg finally!) Todays date: 7/16/17 Finally out of the 160's!! So happy! Thought it would never happen. And way to go pixie! That's awesome! You'll probably beat your next goal too with the way your going. Look at you, motivating me and everyone else and looking and feeling great. So happy for you! Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
I wish i could have something line that. My schedule is all over the place. I work 10pm to 7am tonight and 3 to 11 Friday and Saturday. Its rough. Looking into other employment options. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

@blizair09, i was thinking of going back to protein shakes for my breakfast and 15 minute breaks. Its hard because i find myself feeling kind if sick if i go more than 5 hours without food it seems. And that's usually how long it is between meals for me when working. Some days longer. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

Just realised this is "guys room". My bad fellas. But it did seem like a relevant topic for me lol Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

This has really been a struggle to me. I'm back working full time in retail and my schedule is all over the place. So i go most of the day at work not eating much or drinking much at all. I make what meals i do bring or buy as low carb as i can but i can't seem to get in much anything until i get home and by then I'm ravenous so i just shove food in my mouth until i realise that's a bad idea and make myself sick. I have no balance in my life. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

Torriluv87 replied to Dashofpixiedust8's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Today's date: 7/8/17 Cw: 161.6 Gw: 150 Finally getting back on track. Thanks pixie. Its been bad but so much worse around that time of the month. Trying to really cut sugar and carbs to a bare minimum so i can get the rest of this weight off. Feel like I'm wasting this honeymoon period. Hope it's not too late to get back on track and keep losing steadily. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -

Chipotle is life~
Torriluv87 replied to Iwanttofitinmyweddingdress's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I LOVE Chipotle! I have been there a couple times but I'm 8.5 months out. I usually just have a taco with meat beans and cheese and skip the shell or just don't eat it. I haven't had a problem with much anything. It CAN play with your head tho, (if not your body) eating new things, or just the stuff you used to eat. I feel way more guilty now because fast food and junk doesn't lend me anything. But so long as i stick to dense protein, veggies and very minimal carbs (processed or otherwise, but that's not always the case) i usually can get through my day with minimal if any head hunger or actual hunger. But Chipotle is LIFE sometimes lol. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
WLS before or after children
Torriluv87 replied to BMC blogger's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I have no children yet but decided to do this for my current health for my future children. I didnt want to be diabetic and pregnant. Not if i could help it. Even though im no longer diabetic, that's not to say gestational diabetes is off the table but i didn't want to go into my thirties just as fat and miserable as i was the rest of my life. I'm not getting any younger and what ever children i may have in the future deserve the best version of me that i can give and getting the sleeve and getting healthy has been the hardest thing I've ever done but it was so necessary. My whole family can benefit from this healthier me. Just make sure whatever decision you make is right for you and at the right time. That's the only thing that'll make sense to you and make you happy. I didn't realise this was the right timing for me until months after the surgery. I knew it was what i wanted but didn't know how right the timing was until later. Yeah i wish i had done it earlier but no way was i mature enough to handle all the mental work i need to do. Its hard and kids complicate things. I get distracted easily. I can barely eat while caring for my mom, trying to get my eating on track while also caring for a small child would have been a recipe for disaster lol. But we are only given as much as we can handle. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
How much can you eat?
Torriluv87 replied to heylizzyclay's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I bought a food scale and barely use it. I didnt have money for one for most of this journey so i just got used to not weighing everything. I measured as much as i could with the measuring cups in my house. I'm 8 months out and my restriction is kind of crazy. I can barely get down 2oz of protein and that takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Forget veggies in the same meal unless i have both on the same fork. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -

Torriluv87 replied to Dashofpixiedust8's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

This is way too good a day for me to be upset about a number on the scale. Thanks so much pixie for this challenge! I learn something new about myself with every one it seems lol -
A confession at 16 weeks
Torriluv87 replied to snapy17's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have those days More than I'd care to admit. Im almost 8 months out. It doesn't get easier lol. I think im going back to basics and will probably do a pouch reset. Mainly to detox my system and get my mind back on track. It's rough. It's definitely easier when certain people and food arent around. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
2 years later and loving dressing up
Torriluv87 replied to UalreadyKnow's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I thought it was just me. I find myself wanting to wear cute jackets now. Im always on the colder end now and always need a light jacket but with summer coming and me needing a new wardrobe, especially for my new job (squeal! ), its anxiety inducing not knowing how things are going to fit or supposed to fit. But it's still fun thinking about new clothes. Just gotta get rid of the old ones. But i find it hard because i feel i might need them again. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Ok. That makes more sense lol. Im 5'2 and been obese my whole life so no chance my skin is going to look very good lol. I'll take extra skin over dieing young any day tho lol. So long as i look good with clothes on and my boo has no complaints im fine lol. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app
