Super big but super cold!!!!
Torriluv87 replied to dreamingsmall's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think it IS calorie or food related on SOME level. Im still cold all the time but when i eat more i am less cold. But i notice i get colder when I'm doing more low carb also. I just go with it. Enjoying it until before it stops lol. I was always a sweat bucket before so this is a welcome change lol. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -

Gaining weight with a new phase?
Torriluv87 replied to Mytimenow17's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're not taking in enough calories to gain. Even with a change in phase at this point. Your weight loss WILL slow down but there's not anything you can do about that. We lose a large amount in the beginning with pre/post op diets. Its normal to slow down to 2lbs a week depending on your weight and habits. But this soon out i wouldnt worry. Mainly because your still healing. So long as you keep at what your doing, move at your own pace and sip, sip, sip, you should be fine. Just take it slow. I didn't start weighing consistently until well after a month post. I'm almost a year. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
I had the sleeve almost a year ago. I'm so happy to hear from someone who's had it so long and still maintaining almost all the weight loss. Congrats on your success. Do you still have a similar restriction to a year out or is it drastically different at this point? Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

that makes me feel so much better. I eat pretty much whatever too but i try to stay within the rules. Protein first and all that. Omg i hate turning away food. Always have. Its really hard now since i just don't have the room. Its been almost a year for me and i still haven't worked out lol. I just hate gyms. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

Current self-image before surgery
Torriluv87 replied to jrsone's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I had to do six months also. It actually turned into almost a year from the start of the process. It flew by to be honest. And then i was on the other side and lost 24lbs the first month. Now im less than 20lbs from a normal bmi. I can't wrap my head around it most times. I still feel the same and feel that people still see me at my heaviest but they don't. I can't help but feel that everyone knows i was fat and judging me but its in my head. You'll get there hun. Just make sure you get the mental help on board sooner than later. It'll help loads. I know your anxious to get it over with. We all were lol. But enjoy having your full stomach while you can. I don't think many people here will tell you this, but before you start any intense pre op diet just enjoy eating, enjoy life, enjoy your normal stomach. No matter how much you need or want this, your going to miss your old stomach. But it's SO worth it. You'll be fine. This is a marathon. Just remember to breath and hang in there. It'll happen in no time. I hope i could help you feel a bit better. Sorry this was so long[emoji28] Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Amazing hon! You look fantastic! How far out are you if you don't mind me asking. I'm almost a year out from gastric sleeve and i feel like we are at a similar place. Are you at goal or still losing? Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE
Torriluv87 replied to Dashofpixiedust8's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey[mention=293999]Dashofpixiedust8[/mention] i was wondering if i could join starting today? I gained 3lbs in a week listening to everyone else filling my head making me feel "skinny", i kind of got lost in the fog. Getting myself back on track so i can make my goal of 148 by Oct 5th. Thats just 5 lbs till 100lbs from surgery. I can do it. Cw: 151.8 Gw: 145 Todays date: 9/15/17 TMI: I think I'm fairly constipated[emoji21]had to edit my weight lol. You know you lost weight when
Torriluv87 replied to Thomas CPA's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
when you realize this is your first ever "skinny" winter and now you have to buy an ENTIRELY new winter wardrobe. The one time im glad for working retail[emoji28] Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
I have had sleeve and so far have lost 98lbs from surgery in less than a year. It's still so crazy to me when people don't recognized me because i still feel i look the same, until someone corrects me. I have to buy a whole new winter wardrobe because i was plus size this time last year. It's scary looking so different but the pros DEFINITELY out way anything bad i thought i might feel. It IS an adjustment but so long as you have supportive people in your corner don't worry too much. Take the changes as they come and appreciate them for what they are, good or bad. I'm trying to look at my excess skin as battle scars. A reminder of where ive been and why i don't want to go back. Change is hard but we change every day. We just don't know it[[emoji5] ]. I have no one who understands where I'm coming from either so if you need someone to talk to I'm always willing to lend some ears[[emoji8] ]. Stay strong girlie. I'm SO sorry to hear about all your troubles. I hope things get better for you soon. OH! And congrats all the loss!! That's still an amazing accomplishment even if you didn't reach goal, you still have to be proud of that![emoji6] Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

weed smoker about to get bypass
Torriluv87 replied to jchilion2589's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Yeah. If you can taper off and give yourself at least a week and a half to 2 weeks before surgery. I am a weed smoker. And after the surgery i waited till my stomach stopped hurting because of the coughing. Munchies aren't the same for me post op. I am almost a year post and smoke every day. Just be mindful of the dry mouth. I use that to get in an extra 4 to 5 bottles of water sometimes lol. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Or you can go back to dense protein and veg. Im sure your stomach hasnt stretched. But you won't feel the same level of restriction with sweet carby things as you will with protein. Steak, chicken, Turkey, fish. Green veggies, beans. All good filling things. I guarantee you won't feel hungry after a couple oz of chicken. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

Anyone around 5'3-5'5 and weight 250-270 how much weight did you lose in your first 6 months
Torriluv87 replied to _optimisticsleever_'s topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I'm 5'2 and at my heaviest was 272lbs. I was 259lbs when starting the process. 248 at day of surgery and after 6 months i think i was down to about 175-178. I'm almost 11 months out and am at 153lbs. Kind of just want to see how low my body will/can go before it takes too much effort to lose a pound lol. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
I used to track in the beginning but i really fell off. I tend to get really obsessive so i stopped Some months ago. I try to weigh out things if i remember. Mostly to see how much i am eating. I generally can't eat much more than 1.5oz of dense protein before things start getting hairy. I feel guilty sometimes for not always weighing my food but for me weighing and documenting actually last longer than the meal so i just, slowly eat my few bites till i get the signals and stop. There's NO WAY I'm eating near the amount i was pre surgery. Especially if i stick to the basic rules. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Fibromyalgia
Torriluv87 replied to Naturelover's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm in the midst of trying to find a diagnosis from a rheumatologist. Can anyone give me some examples of what you go through on a normal day? I've been living with chronic back pain for years now but it's seems to have evolved/evolving. Everything seems to have some level of pain or tenderness. Its a whole list of things but my doctors are now looking into fibro, RA, or other auto immune. Its really frustrating because I've been told for so long to just lose some weight and ill feel better and it'll help the pain, but I'm less than 20lbs from a normal weight range for my height and I'm still in just as much plain as when i was 250 plus pounds. I know i should exercise but when your back burns when you wash dishes, and your hips and knees scream when taking the stairs, its hard to get excited about working out. I know this is a long post. I just feel so alone sometimes about all this. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
9 Months out With Severe Constipation
Torriluv87 replied to mylighthouse's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't have CHRONIC constipation but i did notice the less carbs i eat or calories the less i go number 2. If I'm eating lower carb its harder for me to have a movement. Not gonna lie, when i go off the rails for a few days things start moving again. But i don't want to sacrifice my diet just so i can poo. Also i wasn't sure if i was the only one only able to get down 1.5 oz of dense protein. I thought it was strange at this point (11 months post op on sep.5) that i can't fit in but a little more than 1.5oz of dense protein in one meal. I guess that's why i turn to carbs because its easier to get down and tolerate. I wasn't sure how normal that was. Now i think i need to talk to my surgeon. Thank you for voicing your experiences and concerns. It makes me feel much better knowing im not alone. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Auto Immune after WLS
Torriluv87 replied to Ris26's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My doctors have sent me to a rheumatologist because of all the pain I've been experiencing. I've had chronic pain for over 5 years but haven't been sleeved a year yet and my pain that was supposed to magically disappear with weight loss is still here and strong as ever. Now i have to be tested for something auto immune. The rheumatologist i saw said it could be fibro. I can understand the fatigue. I can sleep 7 to 8 hours and wake up feeling like i need to sleep another 100 years. I always feel like death. Hopefully you can sort everything out and start to feel like yourself again. Sending hugs. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -

Torriluv87 replied to Sleevie1981's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

About 20lbs away from goal which i hope to reach by my 1 year post op appointment if im being honest with myself lol. But anything under 150 is gravy i think. SAIL INTO SUMMER CHALLENGE
Torriluv87 replied to Dashofpixiedust8's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thanks@Dashofpixiedust8! I haven't been eating the best. Still sticking to protein first and stuff but haven't been eating much or getting much fluids in. I need a real kick in the pants. Im so close to my nutritionists goal of 150. And less than 20lbs from my goal of 135. I feel like i could have been there if i hadn't have been slacking. Part of me has real FOMO over this past year and how poorly I've done diet wise. I feel like i did the bare minimum. But im taking it all in stride. Trying to get to 100lbs lost from surgery before my 1 year post op! [emoji16][emoji3] Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
SAIL INTO SUMMER CHALLENGE
Torriluv87 replied to Dashofpixiedust8's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Cw: 154.6 Gw: 150 8/6/17 Forgot to post. Finally back down. But i feel like i wont make my challenge goal. I think i might change it to 152lbs. 4lbs seems like a lot to try to lose in a week. Or does it? 🤔 Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Eating More @ 7 months out
Torriluv87 replied to livinglife61884's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Im almost 10 months out. I don't think i have a stricture but i notice i can eat more carbs than protein. In almost any form. Its scary actually. But i can only get down about an 1.5-2oz of dense protein. If i try i might fit in veggies with that. But i usually don't bother. I still have about 20lbs to goal and eating carbs slows me down. Hope you're able to get where you want to be soon[emoji4] Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app
