Someone that i met on here we befriended each other on fb. The other night she posted a new pic and i got it mixed up and thought the pic was posted on this page and i mentioned something about her being beautiful with or without surgery and boy, i woke up this morning to being cussed out on my page because she hadnt told anyone she had surgery. I tried to explain the mix up and that it wasnt done maliciously but i was still cussed out. I wanna thank you all for being here for me during this time in my life. I really dont know if i couldve gotten through these last 4 months without it, because this has been the hardest thing ive ever had to accomplish. I had my pre-register appointment yesterday and saw my dr also. Ive been on my 14 day pre-op diet and ive lost another 22lbs. So on the morning of the 4th, i weigh again and get my final weight before surgery. I thought the 14 day with just Clear liquids would be harder than it was, but it wasnt. After the 3rd day, i was fine. I dont own a scale but i knew i had lost more than i thought because my knees didnt hurt while running behind my granddaughter. What i have learned over these past 6 months is that everything is really a mind thing. I really dont need to have the 2nd scoop of ice cream, but i want it, so ive learnt to live with just the 1 scoop and im satisfied. I hope that my surgery goes as smoothly as these last 6 months. I was told yesterday that i have a hernia that he'll repair while im in surgery. And that he may remove my gallbladder. Can anyone that has had a hernia repaired and gallbladder removed tell me if that made the recovery harder or no. He said that i would have 6 places where he's going in, i usually see 4 on everyone else. Idk, im just ready to get it over and on to the next phase. Have a great day guys. What did everyone else do day 5 out of 14 days of pre-op fast? Omgoodness, i am dying here. Surgery isnt until the 4th of oct and im getting jumpy. Im just ready to get it over with. I havent gotten on a scale, i wont until after i get ready to go into surgery so i can track my beginning weight. Ive started using the adult coloring books to keep my mind off of food and its helping. Oh lord, only 6 months post op, wow. I know i havent had my surgery as of het, oct 4th, but when i went to my pre op class they said DO NOT GET PREGNANT WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR. Your body is still healing, 2, you really cant eat really good like you should. But, babies are a blessing and so that god for those gifts. I will keep you in my prayers. At 39, after losing weight, now youre going to have to put on some weight? If you wanted anymore, youd better have this 1 because our chances start to get slim after 40. GOOD LUCK BABYGIRL. I was told that after the surgery, it goes straight into your bloodstream so thats why they say, if youre going to have a drink, do it at home. You may have been that person that could go and have a glass of wine and drive home after that 1 with no problem, but my girlfriend has 1/2 of glass and shes done for it. I know how you feel! I am on day 8. Around day 5 I started to get extremely irritated and short tempered. Today is better. I have been tryong to stay busy...that usually works, then when I get hungry I make a shake. Hang in there! We can do it. My surgery is Oct 3! So we're really together. Yours on that monday and mine is that tuesday. Thats exactly what it is, boring. But i love to color as a child so im going through these adult coloring books like crazy. I'm on day 4 of pre op. Struggling at times but I haven't cheated... I am on full liquids so cottage cheese, cream soups and yogurt are ok. I mix all my protein in with those typically. But it's getting old, quick. I feel your pain. A lot more difficult then I imagined it would be. I wish my pre op diet was like that. My surgery date is oct 4th, so i start my 14 day fast on tuesday. Lots of Water and 2 Protein Shakes per day. Thats it. And on the 2nd, i need to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate to finish cleasne of the bowel. Im definitely ready, but im not looking forward to the next 2wks. I know in the hospital, they give us something for pain, but do they send us home with something for pain? And are we able to take our regular meds after surgery by swollowing them or do we have to crush up everything? Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Im having my surgery on Oct 4th and im sooo ready. I have MS and my medicine that i was taking has steriods in it and ive gone from 145lbs-278 over 2yrs. Im 5'8 and my goal is to get down into a 8-10, not back down to a 5. At 50, i just dont see myself back into a size 5. I had no curves....lol. I have humana also and i live in fl. They approved mine in 1 week . If youve gone through the process and theyve paid for all your other tests and things, theyre going to approve you through. Now, your pre op diet sounds like my 3wk full liquid diet after sugery. The pre op diet for 1r days for my dr is only water and 2 protein shakes a day, thats it. No broth, popcycles, none of that. Thats afterwards. I start on the 20th and on the 2nd of oct, i do the bowel prep with magnesium at 2pm. Nothing else after it. Im so excited. Originally i had a date of sept 26, but i have to have a out patient small surgery on the 29th so they called today with my new date. She was still trying to keep me in sept and asked have i had anything to eat today.....but i asked for the next date which is Oct 4th. So yayyyy, i can wait 3 more weeks.
