    Shoulder pain?

I had the left shoulder pain ( low throbbing not a sharp pain). I called my surgeon and she said it was normal. It went away at day 10 But it can also be other issues - so best to call. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Overwhelmed...

Hi @ - I totally understand your fear I have been on pureed foods for three days now - first day was ok, but then I got nervous and now I drink two Protein shakes even though I should get the majority from food ( or close to it)..... just nervous and trying to work through my own head games I wanted you to know you are not alone .... I guess if we follow the plans laid out for us and ask for help we should be OK Sent from my SM-T530NU using the BariatricPal App
  3. @@RoscoColetrain .... Love the name, by the way I noticed all the supportive posts on this thread- the nerve ! Just kidding. Like the rest, congratulations on your weight loss! It is amazing ! I am wondering if you have any milestones you want to reach before the final scale measurement is reached? Maybe if you had a few mini goals you would feel more accomplished or it might be easier to accept the external praise I know I also just want to be left alone and not acknowledge what I am going through, but unfortunately people ( family, coworkers, neighbors , soccer moms, etc) just have to say what is on their minds .... Wishing you Continued success ! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    A few questions.

The unknown is always so difficult. And I know how you feel. It can be a long process 4-6 months , but I think the Drs and insurance want to make sure you can stick with " the program "(my opinion). Take it one day at a time . Do you journal? I find I can write my fears down then leave them on the page We didn't get this way quickly so it is not a quick process to drop the weight once you get the surgery. think positive and remove the doubt ......Easier said I know I guess I just wanted to impart as a newly sleeved that there are so many steps and you should be present for each one , taking in what each step will teach you so you will be prepared for the long haul and living your life ( and enjoying your life ). Good luck and check back in after your appt Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I bought Bariatric Advantage from my dr and used it in my two- week pre/ op dirt ( added fruit as I didn't care for the vanilla or strawberry taste of the shake Then post op I couldn't drink with fruit and it was torture to choke it down. My taste buds had changed and it was now way too sweet . I tried muscle milk lactose free and that was also too sweet. I ended up with Bi pro .... Simple ingredients and no added sweetness .... Perfect ! Good luck on your Protein drink journey ... Lots to try - maybe query protein - I know I have found lots of good suggestions on multiple threads Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Very tired

I have been on the treadmill since day 8 .... I'm not sure it is helping with energy, but I am proud of my progress ( 1 mile to 3). My surgeon has been great with questions about increasing exercise or adding incline to the treadmill Are your kids still in a stroller ? I wonder if your dr would clear you for pushing a stroller ? Ladies! Menstruation

I have a different yet same experience .... In my 40's and last cycle was sept 2015 . 4 days after surgery my cycle started . I read some funny posts in the "50's" posts that some women through menopause also got a period or two after surgery ... So yes, hormones are affected and weight loss also is a factor ....
