I know no one has posted in here yet but I just got my approval and scheduled surgery for February 17th! Was suppose to be January 27th but I had to push the date since my fiancée will be out of the state for two weeks and I have a child under one as well as a 5 yr old. And since I won't be able to lift my youngest I had to postpone until he returns. Rather depressing tbh but 7 months has literally flown by so the next month and a half will as well. I can't wait to be able to do fun things with my family this summer. Such a great thing to look forward too! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I will only have hubby home for the weekend ( my surgery is on Friday I'll be home Saturday) then he has to go back to work and I'll be left to care for my 5 yr old who doesn't need me much anymore and my 10 month old. I'm hoping to have him til at least Wednesday and If not I'll have to get friends over to help bc I won't be able to lift her. I'm also having an umbilical hernia repair so it's important that I don't over do it. I just had my first preop with nutritionist to discuss post op diet ( met with her for 6 months previously) next week is my second and last visit with nutritionist and preop testing (ekg blood work meet anesthesiologist) then meet with surgeon to discuss last minute questions ( I have a few). My preop diet starts 2/1 and is high protein low calorie diet similar to diet one month out. Surgery on the 17th. I'm super excited but also super anxious. Getting really real now. I'm glad I don't have a liquid diet bc this one will be hard enough. But good practice!

Hello. My surgery is scheduled for February 17th! It was suppose to be the 27th of January but I have a 9 month old and 5 year old with my fiancé out of town until 2/15 so I had to reschedule sadly. But I'm super excited and have a couple more weeks to practice eating good food the right way. If anyone decides to start up a "secret" Facebook group let me know since I'm not making it public... yet. so I find it hard to post on the other groups. HELP weight gain in 6 month program!
hopesndreams86 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my daughter in March and started the program in June. I also stopped breastfeeding in June. So naturally I had weight gain. 15 pounds. I have been fighting hard to loose it since. I lost 6 pounds in the following months. So I am showing a 9 pound gain and suppose to be submitting to insurance next week. I met with my surgeon yesterday but he didn't mention the gain or that it was an issue. He told me in the beginning of program that insurance only looks at starting number. He also has to perform surgery on a severe incisional hernia at the same time. So I'll need surgery no matter what. I met with my nutritionist today ( last appt of 4) and she seems to be concerned about the gain and insurance approval. She mentioned it to the office lady and I'm afraid she's going to note the gain in my request to insurance and I'll be denied. She told me my insurance won't tolerate a gain. . I'm getting conflicting info and the only thing I can do is wait for insurance to come back. I'm just wondering if anyone else had a gain and was still able to be approved? I was excited yesterday and totally discouraged and upset today. Now I'm going to be freaking out for the next few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
