  1. Thanks all, that was really good info <3 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I guess what I'm trying to ask is; is the amount of weight I'm losing normal? Am I supposed to be losing more? I guess I was under that impression since I read a lot of people lose weight quickly. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Maybe it's just me; at first I was losing a ton of weight and this seemed to be the norm especially in the beginning from what I read. I was able to lose 20 pounds exactly during my pre-op diet. And now that I'm ten days out; I've only lost about 3 pounds a week since surgery. I'm following the post op diet. And on average I'm only getting about 350 calories in a day. (That's all I can seem to get in) I take my post op Vitamins. I'm eating low carb, extremely low sugar... Getting all my fluids...don't get it. Am I doing something wrong? Just wanted to give an update. Tonight (again) I woke up with a wave of nausea but not nearly as bad as the night before, and no running to the bathroom and vomiting. I added more pillows underneath me so I slept on a bit of an incline. And I took my nightly meds spaced out a half hour apart (because it's a lot of swigs of Water for me to take at once) I have to take 4 pills at night and I used to be able to get three of them down in one shot, but not anymore. I get a feeling where the pill feels "caught" a lot of things feel caught when I swallow them but I was told this is a really common sensation. And I took the nexium and zofran right before I fell asleep. Let's see what happens. Still 0 appetite this morning. I'll be skipping the egg until a couple of weeks pass, and I'm gonna see about getting some pudding to try. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Yes, I think I will. I spoke to the on call doctor but he didn't understand that the only thing I was "eating" was scrambled egg and assumed that I was trying to push foods when the bulk of what I'm doing is drinking. I just didn't like his answer or the fact that he didn't really pay attention to what I said. Do you really think it could be a leak? I did the swallow test and they said it was fine. That worries me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I'm taking zofran for nausea; what meds stop the cramping? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'll switch out the egg for one of these things instead. I've been living off Powerade and Water, which is no Bueno. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

On my post surgery food, it says slowly introduce flaky fish, ricotta cheese, hummus, Greek yogurt, egg (scrambled). I asked the nurse if it was okay if I stayed on liquid for a little while longer because I didn't feel ready for any of that; and she said yes. But I was experimenting with the scrambled egg since they gave it to me within 24 hours after surgery, but if that's what's causing the problem, then I'll wait. Ok, I'll try eliminating egg. I was served a scrambled egg in the hospital so I'd figured I'd try it. I am working on getting a prescription for pantoprazol. But they messed up the script by writing 60 pills for 30 days when it's a 24hour pill. So the insurance wouldn't cover it. If I get a few nexium would it be the same? While I was in the hospital, I had no troubles with nausea or vomiting. It wasn't until yesterday night that this started. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Disclaimer; I know I'm not getting enough Protein in, but I'm m getting what liquids I can get in. My surgeon just said liquids take priority right now to food. Just get liquid in. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. I don't know what it is, but I keep waking up in the middle of the night, dizzy, with a cold feeling in the pit of my stomach; then a wave of warmth and nausea comes over me and I have to run to the bathroom only to dry heave. I haven't even started purée because I was advised not to. All I've been doing is sipping a Protein shake once a day, eating a scrambled egg, drinking 4 oz of Gatorade and the rest of the day is Water. I have no appetite. I don't really understand why, so randomly in the middle of the night my body wakes me up to dry heave. Am I doing something wrong? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
