4 days post op and having a hard time drinking soo much????
brighteyes377 replied to correak's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved June 9th, too! I have been able to get my Protein and fluids in since day 5, but I have shooting pain sometimes. It's feels like I need to burp, but can't. I'm able to take pills per my doc so thankfully I don't have to smash up any pills. How much walking are y'all doing? I try to walk around the mall or Wal-Mart but get very clammy and have to stop after about 30 min. I assume it's due to the very limited calories. Drinking is the hardest part...ugh. This was me last Thursday (6/9) morning before checking in for my sleeve. I weighted 312 at my 1st surgical appointment and 289 the morning of surgery. Right now I'm home trying to get all of my fluids and Protein in. It's so hard. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App [/img]

Anyone dreading being alone in hospital?
brighteyes377 replied to reachbree's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My daughter came to see me for a half hour each day. It was just enough. I am deathly afraid of being left alone in the hospital, so the first night my best friend stayed with me. Most hospitals allow it. Ask for a patient advocate if they give you any problems. I was extremely sensitive to the anesthesia and pain medicine. It took me 24hrs to stop feeling nauseas, spitting/heaving, and my headache to subside. Walk as much as possible! Walking helped me burp and feel better. The absolute best number one thing to take to the hospital will blow your mind!

I had surgery yesterday and so far I think my favorite thing is the slippers I brought from home. The long hospital socks were uncomfortable and bulky. Mine are just ankle length slip free socks Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App -
