I worried about the same thing. It's a natural reaction. Don't sweat it. I've enjoyed your comments and I'm glad I took the risk. You've done a good thing. MLM makes most suspicious. I've seen many successful in my years as an accountant. The vast majority just don't put the work in. Thank you for getting us involved with a larger group of WLS participants. Gastric bypass - how about you? Are using Dr Hahn also? My dad had Gastric Bypass with Dr Hahn 7 years ago. He says Dr Hahn saved his life. My dad was 70 when he had the surgery. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Go applejenn. I don't have a date yet, but am encouraged by your post. YAY, you got through the morning wait. Honestly, it's something I've thought about. I hope your pain today is much more manageable. Looking forward to more of your story Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Spilling the beans

I have feelings both ways about disclosing my surgery. I'm still pre surgery. I want people to think I can lose the weight "myself". But I can't, duh?! So, the nice part of me says be an example. So much shame is associated (for me) with my inability to control my weight. I should just put it out there. Then, the other, private part says it's my journey. I would be upset with people disclosing my truth. But ultimately I know I can't lose the weight and keep it off permanently. So I think I "should" be an open book. Not sure where I'll end up with this disclosure. Just know I feel for you. And appreciate your openness here with how you are feeling. I just see more and more emotional growth in everyone's posts. So much going on other than weight loss. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  8. Wow, you all bring up new growth I will be experiencing. I am pre surgery, too. I have considered a big purge of my closet to prepare myself mentally for this process. Yes, I have some "skinnier" clothing. But, really? This is a new, healthy process. And yet, my "bigger" clothes have some happy memories, lol. You just make me think. Excited, yes. But, yeah, letting go. Wow. Thanks for your insight. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  9. Hi, I've been to the 2 info classes Kaiser NorCal requires (one basic info, one at the Bariatric Surgery Center). Yesterday I met with surgeon. I have 11 more pounds to lose before surgery (6 until I can call schedule surgery). I'm super excited AND super scared. I know this is going to improve my life (BP out of control, pre diabetes, and more health issues). My husband is also going through the program. I believe that will improve our success. I'm 58, 5'6", HW 224.6, CW 221, surgery goal weight 210. Looking forward to making this journey to a new healthy me with all of you. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
