That's crazy @@marisaxily our stats are nearly the same except I've been at the same wt since 6/16 so I guess I've been at a stall for about a month or so now I have lost inches and am down and I can feel my skin is not as jiggly as before so who knows what my body is trying to work out but hey one day at a time!! Any nurses/medical workers have the sleeve done?
fancy4life replied to john925's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am an iv nurse at an oncology center and I went back after 2 weeks but I don't do any pushing and moving at all and the one time I did move a wheelchair I paid for it. I was in pain for 2 weeks and ended up in the ER . I didn't know what was wrong so be careful and follow your md advice!! Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

So I finally heard it tonight!
fancy4life replied to cowboys4life's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah people don't understand this definitely is not an easy way out. This has been a tool like everyone said but we definitely have a whole bunch of other stuff to deal with and the realization that emotions had a lot to do with why we were where we where I thank god I made this decision but like you I've had to deal with the snarky comments and no help from my family. One day at a time and I'm still only 3 wks post op so I have a very long way to go Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Omg I am almost 4 weeks post op Sleeved on 5/12 and the Protein shakes make me so bloated and horrible gas I was feeling great and last week I started getting bad pains on the right side , swelling and bad flatulence I've narrowed it down to the protein so I kinda gave them a break but without them I'm struggling to get my protein in I take my Ppi and idk what else to do I can't even handle the seat belt when I'm driving Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Gastric sleeve on 4/13/16
fancy4life replied to shortnmuddy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 2 weeks post op and I can tell you my first week was horrible mentally and I was in pain . But my metformin was gone the day after surgery my glucose levels stay between 80-120 and since I was home for ten days those were the hardest. I went back to work last Monday and just feeling tired for the first couple of days, I realize that It makes it easier once I get a routine down. I'm not perfect but I'm working on this on a min to min basis. I can't say one day at a time because it's more than that . I'm looking for a support group because growing up with a mom that forced me to finish everything on my plate has really messed my way of thinking up and I'm learning to feel full!! Which is something that I can honestly say I've never felt before!! You guys will be ok take it slowly and follow the plan it's hard but you will see results and you will love them . I'm not sure how much I've lost because the scale is a bit discouraging to me and I try to just go by my clothes but I will need new uniforms soon because they are getting too big I'm 5 1 and my highest wt was 213 and I was 200.5 prior to surgery Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Five Months Progress with Pics
fancy4life replied to JupiterinVirgo's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
It's definitely not the easy way out but the feeling of being full and being able to not want to eat more has been a true blessing. I am 5 1 and highest weight was about 215 I haven't weighed yet but I am only 15 days post op and my clothes is big and my belly doesn't stick out like it used too.. I am so happy I made this decision and I battled my decision till the morning of my surgery. I think I'm at about 190 and happy as ever. Slowly it's coming off and it's a battle getting the walks in but it's worth it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Anyone starting weight at 200 lbs? Help :)
fancy4life replied to asolanom's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I was sleeved 5/12 and your concern was my mental battle for two years before I decided to finally have surgery. Diabetes , fatty liver and high blood pressure at the age of 42 and 201 lbs on the day of surgery. My highest weight 213 lbs on a 5 ft 1 in body was my concern and plenty of aches and pains, feet knees back. But finally I jumped and the eight is coming off slowly but I feel great. I've only lost about 15 lbs total but my clothes are big and I feel like I've lost inches which is more important to me. I'm definitely not in a rush I'm watching everything I put in my mouth the first few days was horrible and I battled the head hunger especially while laying around the house but since I've been back to work it's definitely gotten better. I don't mind the slowness of loosing the weight I don't want to have the crazy sagging skin but whatever or however the weight comes off I'm happy , oh and the fact that I'm off my metformin and working on getting off my bp meds is the best for me. But I understand everything you are saying and even the nurse that discharged me after the surgery was asking me why I did something so drastic?? I'm happy and that's all that matters, I feel I am in control now !! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

9 Days Post Op still have pain?
fancy4life replied to JosieJ's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I got sleeved 5/12 and still feel slight pain but definitely depends on how much I'm doing. Last two days have definitely gotten better. I had to go back to work this past Monday , I felt exhausted. I eat every 2 hours ex ½ egg, light and fit yogurt, sip on my Protein shake and the last 2 days were good , my wounds are finally closed and the bruising went away. It takes time and every day I notice I'm dropping inches. Follow your gut listen to your body and walk walk walk. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
